ULPT: universal tire boot key

Hey team - just had my car booted and before I try to deflate, replace with my spare I’m curious if there is a universal key of sorts that I could order on Amazon or another retailer. I filled out the form to have my car registered at a friends city apartment and going up the elevator I guess service cut out and it didn’t go all the way through so I was never in the system despite being on her list of approved guests. I got a window sign as well and the whole if you don’t give back this laminated piece of paper it’s another $20 pissed me off. Plus after hours additional fees. Like how is this legal…

No
You might also want to check your local jurisdiction for the fines for removing, damaging, or theft of boots.
They’re usually far worse than the original fines.

What kind of boot? Try googling the brand or looking up the type of lock to see if it’s unique or a generic one you can get a duplicate for

Not that it helps you, but hopefully gives you a chuckle on how someone that beats a boot and the booters. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/an-audi-gets-booted-let-the-games-begin.107924/

It’s not. They’d have to sue you in court. Just cut the boot off and ignore it

Yeahhhh… Riiiight 🙄 Because it’s always easy to just snip it off and go about your day.

I could cut one off faster than you could walk to the office and pay your imaginary fine.

Angle grinder :3
If you're patient, a hacksaw

You think it’s difficult? How?

Most are cheap with cheap locks. Wave rake will often open it with the sort of thrashing movement expected of someone pissed at being booted.
Picking or bypass is generally better, just because then there's no property damage claim in court.
I love the stories of the lamprey windshield clamps used for trucks, apparently many have a sim card can can be used for your mobile hotspot or IOT projects for a while until they figure out which one it is and deactivate it.
