Hi guys, i play in 1440p and 4k.
There is my actual config :
My case is an hyte y60.
Gpu : Amd Sapphire 7900 XTX
Ram : 32go Ddr4 3200 mhz
Cpu : Amd ryzen 7 5700x
Should i upgrade ? Or keep my actual config and wait the prix goes down ?

Very sexy, i got it for 100€ i got it second hand, only used for 3 month

I have the same CPU, a RX6800, 32GB at 3600 and a Deepcool case that came w 4 120s. the CK560. This is my first build and I am PARANOID about my side panel shattering.

I have worse specs than you,, had the oppo to try the 5070Ti with 7800X3D. Apart from Ray tracing looking a bit nicer the gains are marginal and you end up paying full price for components. you are good for the next 5 years. but if you have 1K eur to burn,, nothing better than PC components. Make sure you have nice clean power for your components with a nice Gold PSU!

Thanks you appreciate it !

Look at microcenter bundles if you have one near you. I got the 9800x3d, 32gb ddr5 ram and gigabyte b850 for $680
RyZoX972@reddit (OP)
Amazing ! Where i live it's impossible to find it a it price lol. The 9800x3d is selling around 800,900€ where i live so … i happy for you though !
farrellart@reddit
Currently it's not good value.....I would wait for RAM prices to go down to a less insane prices.
You already have good specs.......GAS is a terrible thing 😄
RyZoX972@reddit (OP)
Sorry i’am not english native, what does « GAS » meaning ? And thank you for your answer !
lcirufe@reddit
Are you getting acceptable FPS at those resolutions with your current rig? If yes, don’t upgrade.
FYI a CPU and RAM upgrade won’t be meaningful at those resolutions since you’re GPU-bound anyway
RaXXu5@reddit
Depends on if all he does is gaming, shade compilation and code compilation + creative work can improve a lot with upgrades to both.
RyZoX972@reddit (OP)
All i do is gaming lol
RyZoX972@reddit (OP)
Yeah i am happy with my actual rig. I was wondering if this upgrade at this price was a good deal, but by all the answer its not worth it !
AdstaOCE@reddit
Just for the board/CPU/RAM? You can get X870E for that price: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jysGqd (ignore the potential issues, it's just no CPU cooler) or go X870 or B850 for sure.
RyZoX972@reddit (OP)
Thanks you !

By you saying "go" instead of gb, " I assume u are French. I have made a pcpartpicker list with 32gb cl30 6000 ddr5, 9800x3d, and b850 mb for 800 euro:

for 100euro cheaper
Impossible-Move-2096@reddit
5700X + 7900XTX is already a beast. No rush unless you’re chasing benchmarks.
PretendingImNotAnApe@reddit
Gaming at 4k the difference will be the least impressive. Single digit improvement. 1% lows will improve alot but i doubt thats something you struggle with.
In general tasks the cpu is faster.
kmkm2op@reddit
At 4k, even with injecting fsr4 int8 on like balanced, I doubt it matters much. Maybe it would help if you were playing at 1440p and using some upscaling. But realistically the upgrade is only worth it if you're trying to push high framerates in esports titles with your setup rn.
