Need Upgrade Recommendations for Graphic Design & Gaming

My current PC specs are:
- Ryzen 5 8600G
- 32GB RAM 6000MHz
- RTX 5060
- A620 motherboard
- Xigmatek Cubi M case
I’m planning to upgrade the CPU and motherboard.
My budget is around $400 USD, and I don’t mind going with either AMD or Intel.
My usage is graphic design, 3D, and gaming.
Also, would this upgrade actually be worth it or not?

I suggest saving up more money since you don't have enough money for upgrading the CPU, the CPU cooler (you'll need an aftermarket CPU cooler if you want to upgrade to a faster CPU in this case), and the motherboard at the same time based on your reply to aragorn18 in this Reddit post.

Leave the motherboard and get a Ryzen 9700X.

First, you never mentioned that you need a case.
Second, the 9700X is a 65W CPU. Even poor VRMs of an A620 motherboard should be able to handle it.

It’s impossible — the VRMs were already hitting 95°C with the current CPU. Imagine how it would be with the 9800X3D.

9700X is a solid jump. Keeps you future‑proof for design + gaming.

I know, but at this point it’s using the same budget as the motherboard and CPU—that’s the problem. And I still haven’t even included the case.

change ur mother board. Upgrade to B650 and if u want cpu badly go with 7700X. If u have budget go with both the best option.

I was thinking about the 9600X — it’s within my budget range — or the 245K. What do you think?
