Need advice on broken screw in optic plate

Hey everyone so I just recently picked up a cz p10c ported optics ready. I purchased a holosun 507c for it and when removing the optic plate from the cz I stripped one of the screws. I then used an extractor kit to try and remove said stripped screw which resulted in the screw snapping in half. I am now left with a broken screw jammed in the threads. Is this something a gun smith could fix or am I just screwed??

Thanks for the replies everyone I’ve decided to just take it to a gun smith.

I try to de EVERYTHING myself. Please take this to a machinist or gunsmith. Dont ruin your $500-$700 slide to keep from paying a machinist $100 to remove the screw for you.

Unless you are mechanically minded and have something rigid to hold the slide and the drill bit in relation to each other, take it to someone who does. Sure, there's a chance you could do this, there's a good chance you can't though and will drill out the threads when the drill bit wanders. Ask me how I know.

You can drill the center of the screw with a tiny drill, then insert a screw extractor.
Make sure to heat the screw and the surrounding piece of the slide though to liquify the loctite.

I had that happen. I had to take mine to gun smith for removal. I could have gotten it out but I didn’t want to take the chance on screwing it up

If it's just the plate, find out what a new one costs. I've gone down rabbit holes and ended up spending 50 bucks to fix a 10 dollar problem.

I had that happen! Ruger RXM. I took a small drill and slowly drilled the piece out.
All better

The threads remained intact? I’m worried abt messing those up and then not being able to tighten my mounting plate properly

I've had to do this to a bike. But yeah you just gonna start small and work you way up until the screw looks like a straw. After that the screwshould loose tension. File a flat to just the right size and tap it on to unscrew. You'll mess up the first could threads but itll be fine. Use a torque wrench next time.

You need to use a tiny drill, and mine kind of just broke apart the screw as I was drilling.
Don't take my advice though, I'm simple and barely make it through each day.
Someone else will comment soon with a better way...listen to them

Fair enough thanks for the advice bro

Proper extraction is a very small reverse drill bit. Center punch that screw and drill it down then you can tap an extractor in there. Some heat, carefully with a small torch to soften that lock tite and you probably have it out no issues.
