I wanted to love the xperia 1 IV I previously owned but with the finger print sensor dying, and horrible power, ultimately had to give up on it. The telephoto was also just weirdly cloudy. I wish they didn't downgrade to the 1080p screen. They had almost all the right pieces but the execution was just upsetting. I'd like to go back to it one day but my iPhone is only 7 months old.

Honestly I swore off Sony phones after the Z1 and Z2 self cracking screen issues.

I'm surprised Sony is still selling smartphones, do they even sell with these prices?

Same.
I’m surprised the phone department is still around and that they sell enough to break even.

I do not understand why Sony doesn't use their flagship sensor (LYTIA 901) while they supply it to Oppo Find X9 Ultra.

And also they should really make cheaper phones, they are only going for the high spenders while offering a product that gets outclassed by many competitors and they don't have anything that unique that justifies buying them for a high spending consumer. And atleast this model just doesn't look that good, the position of the cameras and their bump makes it feel very cheaper than what it actually is.

They have a headphone jack and an card slot. They also have the Xperia 10 line as an entry point. The 10 is still too expensive for what it is and the 1 is just ridiculously priced, but since they killed the 5 series it is still the most attractive phone on the marked to me.

So does this comply with the upcomming EU repairabity requirements?

It is interesting to see Sony partner with TCL on their future TVs but still decide to go it alone on their smartphones. You would think they would’ve also made the partnership include smartphones as well.
