Is a 700W PSU enough for a Ryzen 7 5800XT and a Nvidia RTX 3060 TI? Just wanted to know if that is enough headroom.

I'm currently building a new PC, but I still am very paranoid about if there is enough headroom in the PSU. I currently have a Thermaltake Smart 700W PSU, and I thought that it would be enough when I bought it. However, after researching a little, I'm beginning to doubt myself. Can someone please just give a yes or no answer and an explanation? Thanks!

yes of course

700w is plenty for that setup, but I'd also check your exact PSU model on this PSU tier list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1akCHL7Vhzk_EhrpIGkz8zTEvYfLDcaSpZRB6Xt6JWkc/edit?gid=1078495601#gid=1078495601
If it's below C tier, I'd replace to ensure the safety of your components. Above that and you should be in good shape.

Yeah, get a better one

CPU uses around 120W, GPU uses around 180W. So typical power draw will not exceed 350W from the wall.

I'm using a Ryzen 5700x and 9070 XT with just a 650 watt PSU. You'll have tons of headroom.

I run a Corsair 750 in my air-cooled ITX case with an i7 11700K and a XFX Merc 319 RX 6800 XT with 2 1440p monitors and my 55" 4K TV. The PSU never breaks a sweat.

Yes, definitely.
