Saw this formation fly over Tulsa around 7:00 pm tonight-five planes in total. Heading NNE(?) Any ideas?

The 138th in Tulsa is doing night flights this week.

If your first instinct had been to launch flightaware/flightradar24 instead of Reddit, you probably could’ve answered for yourself. I know that’s what I do when I hear or see just about anything in the sky.
I think if you pay for flightrader24 you can access this data after the fact, but not sure how to view it for free.

FlightAware filters military aircraft. Not sure about FR24.

FR24 can do that on the free version - it’s called Playback. You just have to pay if you want more than 7 days previously

Formations are usually much closer together, this is most likely just 5 planes that are all going the same way.

Was it to the south? If so, looks like a bunch of twinjets and a c-17. Not a formation, just heading west.

Way too far apart to be formation. Just aircraft heading the same general direction
