I’ve gotten a lot of thermal paste but these 3 are the ones I have. Also if I use PTM7950 would I see better thermal performance on a 5800XT
* Corsair TM30
* Arctic MX-4
* Thermalright TF7

The thermalright and arctic are fine, for some reason I had only bad experience with mx6 even though mx4 was fine, maybe it was old.
Ptm is awesome in direct die applications - gpus, laptops, on a desktop CPU with IHS its a waste of money and effort and it makes no difference. Modern chips are tiny and he thermal "bottleneck" is the contact to heatspreader, the headspreader to cooler is not that critical.

Mx-4 would be my pick. PTM7950 is awesome and it does work. That being said, on my 13700k with thermal grizzly socket mount thing, I only run like 2-3 degrees cooler at load and no difference idle. On my gaming laptop though, shit dropped me 15 degrees. It's great, I would use it all the time if it wasn't expensive as hell. Linus tech tips sells bigger sheets for cheaper. I have several tubes of mx-6 and mx-4 and noctua. They all perform great, I buy mx-6 usually.

Honestly either one of those is fine. You will never notice any real difference. At the very most maaaybe 2°C.

Test I saw indicated the MX4 was slightly better. The difference between the three was \~ 2 degrees while gaming. Any one of those will be fine IMHO.

Idk about best but Ive used the Thermalright several times and it's been solid 👌
