I remember their being a nice drawing of one of these things in a book that I had as a kid (unfortunately I don't recall what the name of that book was). Beautiful planes.
A few years ago there were plans, which appear to have fizzled out, to build an airworthy replica of the HP42. A great shame - I'd have been one of the first in the queue for tickets.
