Oregon camping near coast

Hey all,
I'm leaving from Canada to Tacoma WA, and then northern Oregon(Seaside/Astoria area)
My goal was to have a hotel for the Sunday- Monday and then camping the Saturday-Sunday.
Does anyone know any areas that arent state parks or place i could just drive up to and spend the night?

Ended up actually booking a place called a lamp camp on long beach

Camping is cheap on the coast and fcfs. Go early and get a spot.

I lied. I don't recall where we stayed along the Oregon coast, but everything is cheap compared to Alberta parks. This was South Beach Campground just south of Forks, WA. We came inland around Dunes and did parts of the BDR through the cascades. Just as nice as the coast, imo. If you haven't been through Olympic, it's a must!!

Tilamook is sweet and then a relatively short drive to the coast/beach for the day

The dispersed camping is a long ways inland, you won’t be on the coast.

some isn't too far inland but OP is too vague about location

You can always check out sand lake. You can get away from the motorhomes and RVs when camping out in the sand. Does tend to be busy when the weather is nice.
