Tailwheel endorsement completed!

Finished up my tailwheel endorsement this evening. Got it done in 4 flights consisting of 8 hours and approximately 75 landings in a Citabria. I have to say this has been some of the most absolutely fun flying I’ve done. I’m building for commercial and found it as an awesome way to switch things up from the normal boring time building flights I’ve been doing. I feel like it forced me to become a better pilot and that’s the main reason I wanted to do it. To anyone out there that has given thought to it I highly recommend it! Be sure to find a good tailwheel instructor that specializes in tailwheels for most of their flying. I went with a good school local to me that only does tailwheel instruction and aerobatics and I think that makes all the difference when learning how to fly these great airplanes!

Congrats and welcome to real airplanes!
I have to say though 4 flights/8 hours/75 landings sounds INTENSE.

I did 39 in 1.6 in a Citabria once.

Just remember, a taildragger is only fully landed when you are in the clubroom having your first beer 😉... Any time in between, it can still bite you. (600 hrs glider towing, 300 hrs general tailwheel flying)

Now that’s a better version of the classic saying I’ve heard before 😂🍻 Cheers!

There’s no going back

After doing all the fun one wheel landings and takeoffs it just won’t be the same that is for sure lol

My CFI always talks about getting his tailwheel.
He mentions it EVERY time we see one when I am pre-flighting. Lol

It’s totally worth it!
