I found out about the odin project today and it seems interesting to learn and dive deeper into it. However i fear it might be wasted effort?
Is it still viable learning material in this day and age?

Why do you fear it's wasted effort?

with ai growing these days i feel.like i have to master this ASAP to find a way to make money with this skill. I want to learn something that can help me start working remotely spend the last few hours playing around with it. Very confusing still but i do feel like i picked something up already. I have a some experience with coding from highschool but its still all gibberish to me

I don't know why people downvote. I think people forget that the average career is like 20-30 years... A long time for the tech to develop.
That being said I think it's good to learn. You have to start somewhere ๐. I'm early into my career but I know this industry has always been very dynamic and you're always gonna have to learn. So what if the specific skills you learn are replaced by AI. It's transferable.

Doesn't really answer my question, but I wouldn't worry about how fast you learn, just start learning.

If your goal is to understand how web development actually works (not just quick projects), itโs a solid choice in 2026 too.

No effort is wasted, some effort is not perfectly efficient, but all effort will lead to growth.
