Ketchup or brown sauce?
Hollowdude75@reddit
Where’s the sausages & bacon?
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
Then it wouldn't be shitty
Valkyrie1-618@reddit
A Shirley Valentine straight up
youarelosingme3@reddit
This doesn’t belong here.it needs to be in my mouth
Appropriate-Sun834@reddit
This is shitty how?
DreamCyclone84@reddit
Because those are fries not chips.
Kingslayer-Z@reddit
British
Even though this exceptionally looks good even if lacking some veggies to counter the oil and salt
SirQuick8441@reddit
So, beans, perhaps?
Kingslayer-Z@reddit
But not on toast
SirQuick8441@reddit
Fuck it, we ball. Go full British or not at all. 😆
sandwizard9@reddit
cuz its british.
it looks nice but its def not gonna fill a tummy i think. what a tiny plate!
Live_Example_7996@reddit
Fuck off. 10/10 dip those chips in the yolk
RawChickenButt@reddit
I like to cut around my yolk then eat it whole. I want no yolk wasted. If I dip then one inevitably I'll wind with some dried on the plate and that's not ok.
sehkoyah@reddit
Came to say EXACTLY this. Sauce or ketchup is sacrilegious
creatyvechaos@reddit
Im allergic to egg yolk and I agree with this
rennaxh@reddit
Only 1 egg?
FanOfFH@reddit
what tf this is delicious, also how is this brittish food, if there were beans in it i would get it but this is nothing
Cainjake@reddit
Those are too skinny to be chips
A_N_T@reddit
All that's missing is the 6 sausage links, entire can of beans, and a weird disc made of literal blood
cmdrxander@reddit
Oats and blood, thank you very much
freakmeout123@reddit
I want those chipsss
SuperfluidBosonGas@reddit
Nothing shitty about this. Looks good!
Rodtherobot4210@reddit
I’m American, I always joke about how British food is bland (sorry) but this actually looks so good even though it’s just a simple egg with fries (or chips)
tobotic@reddit
But then you probably go ahead and eat it several times a week.
Rodtherobot4210@reddit
So you just magically know everything about by eating habits? Interesting….
tobotic@reddit
You don't eat sandwiches? Cheddar cheese? Bacon?
Rodtherobot4210@reddit
Bacon is more American than British try again
tobotic@reddit
Cured pork products have been made in Eurasia for thousands of years, but the specific curing process used in the bacon you would normally think of as bacon was developed in Wiltshire, England.
British food.
creatyvechaos@reddit
Okay yeah go eat traditionally made british bacon and then compare it to american bacon. Other cultures also made their own bacons removed from eurasia. You're not special for learning how to slow cook pork belly. The european way is extremely different from the american way to make bacon. Just because it "oRiGInAtEd" somewhere does not mean what we eat is the same.
And you're acting like Americans eat this shit daily, let alone weekly. Holy hell get off your high horse.
tobotic@reddit
Yes, bacon in America is virtually identical to streaky bacon made in the UK. That's because colonists brought the recipe with them. I have literally eaten bacon in both places. On multiple occasions.
Bacon specifically? No. Foods that originated in Britain generally? Absolutely.
For many people, sandwiches are their daily lunch. The sandwich was invented by the Earl of Sandwich. In England.
Now I don't know how often you in particular eat sandwiches, or bacon, or cheddar. I just know they're all very commonly eaten foods in America. Which is why I said you probably eat British food multiple times a week, not definitely.
Rodtherobot4210@reddit
Bacon is so American that as soon as I put it on the grill I see bald eagles and my neighbor dressed in white red and blue screaming “wtf is a killometer”, your version of “bacon” isn’t the same thinf
Fledermausmann69420@reddit
Those are fries. 😐
sheffieldpud@reddit
They're not chips. Too skinny. They're fries.
tobotic@reddit
Fries are a variety of chip.
"They're not chips, they're fries" is like saying "they're not dogs, they're labradors".
sheffieldpud@reddit
But you wouldn't call a labrador a beagle would ya?
tobotic@reddit
No, because a labrador isn't a type of beagle.
French fries are a type of chip. You can find them in the "frozen chips" section of the supermarket.
Wheeeler@reddit
Those are leftover ronnie donnies, 10/10
vinylrules27@reddit
My mom would always substitute chips for hashbrowns as a side to her Denver omelette. Can confirm.
johncon666@reddit
Not a speck of salt or pepper in sight lol
oli_ramsay@reddit
Us Brits don't like exotic spices
TheRoaringTide@reddit
You can just say spices, it’s okay
creatyvechaos@reddit
You can just say flavor, it's okay
hertuition@reddit
You can just say edible, it's okay
ErgonomicDouchebag@reddit
Then why did you pop off and colonize half the world for them?
oli_ramsay@reddit
For shits and giggles
fucktooshifty@reddit
Bruh the fries are literally coated in orange powder
mike_pants@reddit
This guy can apparently see salt on egg.
johncon666@reddit
HighFiveKoala@reddit
The British conquered the world for spices but doesn't use them
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
Spicy noodle seasoning mix on chips Nothing i didn't consider in the fine dining experience
Justin_milo@reddit
I like this idea
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
Seriously Try it! We ran out of salt once. Change our whole perspective on the culinary arts
Justin_milo@reddit
I keep a whole bin of extra noodle spices my kids don’t use so this is perfect. I’m on it
monoxl1@reddit
This is a staple. Put the eggs over the fries. Sprinkle some ketchup and hot sauce.
Lord-of-the-Goats@reddit
surprisingly the fries (i mean chips whoops) look tasty! But i must ask, what is the brown sauce??
Real-Ad-5959@reddit
How is this british
insane_worrier@reddit
Looks solid, those are fries though.
Still delicious
marshmallo_floof@reddit
Chips are still a type of fries, just like how tortillas are still a type of flatbread
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
Fair play. Can't do proper chips at home
TrainingSword@reddit
Where’s the cold beans on toast?
Illustrious_Peach494@reddit
pictures you accidentally find when hungry.
reasonableJabronee@reddit
Is Britain out of pepper.
KittiesRule1968@reddit
It's what I had for dinner tonight! Fried duck eggs and scratch made fries/chips.
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
Nice!
KittiesRule1968@reddit
I have a couple turkey eggs I'm trying tomorrow morning.
cherryberry6741@reddit
ate this as a kid!
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
I didn't grow out of it
BrickSalad@reddit
I mean, sure it's no fish and chips, but I'd accept this as an adequate breakfast. Maybe needs more portion size, or perhaps a third thing like sausage on the side, but it's honestly fine. And I vote ketchup.
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
Cost of living crisis over here....
ALowlySlime@reddit
You didn't have to specify British, we would've known
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
😂😂😂💐 Sorry 😂
Fisherfolk100@reddit
Those are not British chips, those are French fries, our chips are far superior👍👌
izaryo@reddit
My mom would def eat this for breakfast... with a side of rice/porridge lol
Secretagentmanstumpy@reddit
Im a Canadian, so part of the commonwealth at least, and I eat this regularly.
No ketchup or HP sauce, just a bit of hot sauce sprinkled on.
meowmeoowwww@reddit
Not shitty
TheCarm@reddit
I see 0 chips in this photo
giyomu@reddit
Peak British cuisine. Lacks blood pudding or beans though 😭
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
That's why it's shitty...
blazing_ent@reddit
Oppo my g.
Evening_Froyo_7506@reddit
Not really unusual. In America, we chop those bad boys into cubes and call them home fries or hash browns.
creatyvechaos@reddit
Hashbrowns are grated, not chopped
Evening_Froyo_7506@reddit
That is a variation. They can be cubed. We do that in the south.
No_Poet_7244@reddit
Looks pathetic. But mix those eggs into the fries and I’m there for it.
Green-Dragon-14@reddit
They're not chips they're fries. Chips are more chunky
Late_Stage-Redditism@reddit

Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)

Shot-Consequence8363@reddit

Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
Sweden No chippy here
Odd-Significance6513@reddit
Fries 😤
lgnc@reddit
it's called chips. like fish and chips
Odd-Significance6513@reddit
Where I come from we call them fries and I thought it was funny to state that. I’m well aware in Europe that they’re referred to as chips and chips are referred to as crisps
ShadowJedi26@reddit
This doesn’t belong here it’s just normal food
LordVixen@reddit
Needs bacon and/or sausage.
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
But then it'll be class. This is shiny food....

Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
Was actually proper pleased with egg. That's basically why I posted
Mother-Valuable7568@reddit
Right? Picture perfect
bumpachedda@reddit
Spicy
Mother-Valuable7568@reddit
Yup. They said it's actually spicy noodle seasoning so you're spot on.
DaprasDaMonk@reddit
This is magical what you mean
sheffieldpud@reddit
Needs 4 slices of heavily buttered soft white bread and 2 more eggs. And actually chips not fries.
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
Cost of living over here
Rodtherobot4210@reddit
I second that cost of living as long as what you’re eating is good enough for you, that’s all that matters.
mortetekk@reddit
Anything but shittyfoods in this sub
Being_me_cd@reddit (OP)
Minimum effort food?
mortetekk@reddit
That's not shitty at all that's the thing

Different_Lychee_409@reddit
