Anyone else having extreme hair fall after moving to the UK?

I moved to the UK from UAE and ever since then my hair has been falling like crazy. The water here feels so harsh compared to what I was used to before and now I’m wondering if hard water is the reason.
I used to have really long, thick hair and now I honestly feel like I only have one third of it left. Hair everywhere during shower, on my pillow, while brushing, even if I just run my fingers through it. It’s getting really stressful because my hair was something I was always confident about. I already did blood tests and everything looks mostly normal, so I don’t even know what else to blame at this point.
Did anyone actually notice a difference after using a shower filter?
Any proper recommendations for filters or shampoos for hard water that actually helped?
There are too many options online and I’m confused what’s worth buying. Would really appreciate hearing real experiences because this is genuinely upsetting me now.

MK water is particularly hard. I got a water softener, made so much difference to the quality.

No. Some more minerals in water doesn’t make your hair fall out. The shower is where you are noticing it fall out, not where it is actually breaking off your head.

My sister has a lot of this. Never like balding but she sheds like a dog, MK is a very hard water area.
I lived in wales for a time and the difference was immense. Tap water tasted great and showers felt so much nicer. You don't know the difference until you've lived in a soft water area

That other guy acting like you’re insulting us, but I have been to many countries, or even other places in the UK, and had mild reactions to the water. People are more sensitive than others! If it is the water your body will probably get used to it eventually.
That said, just because you’re finding all your hair falling out in the shower doesn’t mean it’s anything related to the water. If your hair is falling out for any reason you’re going to notice it more when you’re washing it. It could be food, stress, different care products, hormones. My wife’s hair fell out a fair bit and got considerably thinner after she had stomach surgery, for example.

Yeah I did have a miscarriage around 8 months ago, but my iron and ferritin levels went back to normal within 2 months after that. I’ve always taken good care of my hair and I’m regularly on multivitamins as well, so I don’t have any vitamin deficiencies or other health issues that showed up in tests.
We even consulted a dermatologist after doing all the blood work and she also said everything looks normal, which is why I’m feeling even more confused and frustrated about this hair fall.

Go to the doctor my man, the UK can be shit at times but it don't make your hair fall out.
You might have something else going on

My husband is a doctor, so we already did all the necessary and unnecessary tests just for my peace of mind and everything came back normal. That’s why I really feel like it could be the water. I honestly can’t think of any other reason at this point.

What could it possibly be about the water that also wouldn't show up in tests?
FrezzyyAndroid@reddit
It is the water, your hair will get used to it at some point. Speaking from experience
