Difficulty settings for your car.

Never caused an accident? Maybe driving has become too easy for you. Adjust the difficulty settings on your car so that steering, brakes, etc become less responsive, increasing your chances of crashing.

Just buy a beater, as a car gets older, without proper maintenance, it becomes less responsive naturally.

No thanks. I want special expert-only roads and lanes.
EyeofEnder@reddit
Expert mode highways with Hot Wheels / GTA / Trackmania-style stunts that require special "stunt driving" licenses and only allow certain cars.

I mean, doing this for a training course would be great. Actually simulate hydroplaning, black ice, etc.

So like... my nice new car drives like the rusty broken shitbox I drove in high school? I don't think I want this.

I just have an older car that does not have traction control or stability control, it has loads of suspension issues and the power steering only works intermittently because of various leaks and a failing pump. It’s great.

Random power steering? That could makes things.... Exciting lol

Cross your legs so you're using your left foot for the throttle and your right foot for the clutch.
Good luck

I've a Lincoln Town Car from the early 00s and it has an adjustment for how much power steering you want. I like to turn it down a lot, it's kind of like mouse DPI vs sensitivity where you can be really accurate over a longer distance or make really fast movements easily.

That’s seriously an option? I was impressed enough when I figured out the trunk would power open AND close (I know it’s not as big a flex now as it was in 2006 but still)
Exotic_Call_7427@reddit
You mean "eco mode"? It derates the engine, makes steering and everything else weak and sloppy.
ben_bliksem@reddit
Press the traction control button? Once you've mastered that drive around with hood open.

Also a lot of automatic cars have a manual shifting mode. Not exactly like driving manual, obviously, but it does increase the challenge

This is the most batshit post I've ever stumbled across.
I love it.
afungalmirror@reddit (OP)
Why don't you MARRY it then?
sciencethrowaway9@reddit
I love that the goal of this sub has nothing to do with improving anything for anyone. This kind of nonsense is exactly why I'm here.

It's called alcohol.

That happens naturally as your car gets older until you crash and have to buy a new one, so we have that!
