My local dealer still has 45 in stock f150's and 8 in transit. All the ones in stock have anywhere from 4-13k in discounts on them right now. So it's not all evaporated just yet, at least in my area.
If that dries up pretty quickly, I imagine Silverados are going to start getting a lot more looks.

I bought at the end of 25, started out at Ford ended up in a Chevy. The spec F150 I was looking at was 86k+, ended up in a High Country for 56k.
HiIary4Prison@reddit
Lol, what? They’re all similarly priced. You’re comparing a new Ford to a used 2-3 year old High Country?
Lilmumblecrapper@reddit
No, both brand new vehicles when I purchased end of 25. Crazy incentives at my local Chevy dealer that didn’t magically vanish because I didn’t qualify. This dealer has won me over for life, will be driving a Chevy likely for life.

The Fords and GMCs are generally a little more expensive than the Chevys and Rams. Not $30k more expensive like for like, though.

The big dealer group where I'm at has 317 new F-150s (not including Lightnings, of which they have a whopping 10) in its combined inventory of 14 stores.
Looking at the Wayback Machine, they had 802 new F-150s on 2/26/2025 (the last date I could see inventory for). On 12/23/2019, they had 1,319 new F-150s in their combined inventory. So, they're down by quite a bit.

Used F-150 deals around me evaporated in a few weeks. Was seeing newer Lariats with less than 30k miles for 42-45k.
shawizkid@reddit
Yep exactly. I was shopping and seeing tons or great deals on 1-3 year old trucks at the start of the year. Not so much now.
Even with the ford employee pricing, new doesn’t make sense IMO.
I’ll just wait it out, or shop another vehicle. Luckily I’m not in a rush to buy
Shmokesshweed@reddit
A lot of folks ended up falling for this marketing trick again. Employee pricing is often much worse than dealer and manufacturer discounts prior to the start of this "sale."
cptpb9@reddit
Employee pricing can also vary, sometimes they get better deals than others and it’s very model dependent
Shmokesshweed@reddit
Yep. If you're looking for something that has no discounts, employee pricing is a deal.
If you're buying a 50k Ranger that's been on the lot for 180 days, you're probably overpaying by paying employee pricing.
shawizkid@reddit
That’s not how it works. Discounts stack on top of employee pricing.
Shmokesshweed@reddit
Nope.
shawizkid@reddit
lol nope what? You’re clearly confidently incorrect on how employee pricing works
shawizkid@reddit
I actually have z-plan. All year round, which qualifies for additional rebates most of the year.
As someone with actual employee pricing, this is the worst month to buy (because employee pricing for everyone wipes out any additional incentives)
dszblade@reddit
I ordered a truck on Z plan a couple months ago and it’s likely to arrive during this employee pricing event. So I’m going to lose potential incentives and my trade in will be slightly depressed too. Shitty timing.
shawizkid@reddit
You get the option of taking the incentives offered at time of order OR time of delivery. You’ll be fine.

I can attest that the Ford dealer had the lowest discounts on half-tons (well... I didn't bother with GM but I'd assume they'd have decent deals right now) with some recent shopping around I did. Ford has a deadly combo right now IMO. Their MSRPs are feature-for-feature already above the competition and they're dealing less. I get that inventory is down... so why budge? But this alone would keep me out of an F-150.
idontremembermyoldus@reddit
GM has the highest discounts right now. They've got a new Silverado/Sierra coming in about six months and are trying to keep people interested in the current truck. Seems to be working, as sales are still strong, even with the well-publicized 6.2 issues (granted, the 5.3 is the volume engine).
UnusualLeadership408@reddit
Real discounts were better before the promotion started.
TyburnCross@reddit
No, I need you to delete this and post another article about how the discontinuation of the Escape is the reason Ford is struggling. I don’t need facts about the Novelis fire and how it impacts both F150 and Super Duty.

Had to hunt for my 2026 RCSB and ended up getting it out of state with $7k off the sticker a few months back. Looks like it was the right time to get it
