Ive been downvoted a lot on any thread where I mentioned I genuinely enjoyed India. People really just cant believe it. I'm not trying to sugarcoat anything either.

The only real negative thing I can say about the Waterpark experience is that a few groups of teenage boys would ask to take a photo with us and some would try to put their arms around the waist of my wife, which would not be weird taking a group photo in any western country. I do the same in group photos... but if you know Indian culture its not their cultural norm so I think they are trying to push boundaries because shes a white woman. She let me know about it and when they'd ask for photos she would stand in front of me instead, problem solved. Groups of women also asked her to be in photos so nothing came across as creepy.

It was also confusing doing the ticket process because the girl at the booth didnt speak English and the entire place looked abandoned. I think they all get there right at open and go straight to the slides. Not a single other customer in the entire entrance/gift shop area. It was very surreal. We just handed money over and we're greeted by a midget in the empty gift shop area. It was surreal and really funny.

If you are white and open minded and engaging in India they will treat you like royalty. Leaving the park the head of security, the midget, and a few other staff asked us for a photo. Its an odd and surreal place, but id go back in a heartbeat.

I would only recommend going there if you can travel like a rich person ($100-$200/night hotel) or have a high tolerance for weird/gross stuff and have been to other developing places.
