Total noob since my PC is really old, 2070. 16gb ram
Was looking for some used PCs and found it. But i have no idea what kind of tests could i run before buying it. Seller told me they use furmark 4k to show the GPU is good and are open to run any kind of tests I request. According to them, it was never overclocked. I used GPT to ask what kind of tests could i request and if furmark is good enough. It told me for GPU is good if they run it for 5min, but it also recommend me to run tests for RAM. Thinking everything is good....
is the following spec worth the money?
Case: Alseye Star Ark
CPU: Ryzen 9 7900
GPU: RTX 4090 24GB
RAM: 32GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance SSD: 2TB
MOBA: ROG Strix B850-A Gaming
Cooler: Thermaltake Mini Cube 360
PSU: MSI 1000W 80+gold
Thanks for your time and comments.

Is this for gaming or productivity use?
Spending so much money on a used system with zero warranty and apparently no/little experience is definitely risky.

honestly, just gaming. I wanted to try to build/pay for assemble with a 5080 but with my picks it turned to be more expensive haha.
As for vendor, its limited warranty, around 3 months for any issues, thats why im also worried if the price is ok and what kind of test sould i request.
My old pc i assembled it, but i dont feel confident anymore haha.

If you're spending more than $2900 with a 5800, you're buying in the wrong places.
I'm assuming you're in the US? Am I mistaken? Do you have a Micro Center near you?

Mexico city.
Pretty much the build i wanted was:
98003xd for 523, asus 5080 alone is 1862dlrs atm, not even the expensive ones. RAM price is stupid, with it alone im almost at 2900dlrs QQ. And still missing Case, MOBA, PSU, AIO.
Grossly around 3500 to 4k atm depending on brands for the picks.
Pretty much based on amazon mexico and some local vendors, in case i wanted to assemble it.
Thats why i started to look for used ones, but honestly beyond cable integrity i have never tested RAM/GPU/CPU in order to know its integrity

Look at PNY or Zotac for the 5080. no reason to overpay for Asus. You can get the PNY for under $1300 US.
You can still get the 7900 for less and be comparable performance.
I also suggest looking at MSI instead of Asus for the motherboard.

You're paying most of this for the 4090. Those go for what, upward of $3000 now? Probably a decent price as long as that GPU is good. You can do stress tests in 3D Mark to test that
Fearless_Bottle_5360@reddit (OP)
ill investigate how to run 3d mark and request them to test it.
Guess... worst case scenario for the RAM, i could change it? As you mention it, maybe i could just hunt for the 4090 as long as its good.

You can get 3D Mark from steam. I don't worry as much about RAM. It lasts forever. I have that same brand, used DDR5 in the build I just finished and it's fine.

Yes.

it’s decent! i would try and find a cheap used 9800x3d, or 7800x3d. then you’re set.

i think its worth it
