I just got my dream car as someone who knows nothing about cars! Wish me luck and give me any advice you can! Please!

It drives well! No AC, No Radio, RPM gauge doesn't work, and the shifter is very very loose, but no problems on a long drive to get it back home!

Cool project to start. Worst case you can LS swap it and make a certified ripper

Is that the one that has the cool dash with the bar for the speed or something?
If you liked having spare money... say goodbye to it. Zs are wallet killers.

The 2+2 is growing on me.

Hopefully not too much rust, looks like you are getting some good practice on body work and dent removal.
Interior looks surprisingly clean. Enjoy the build and kiss your wallet goodbye.

Iirc the battery tray rusts easily, check under it
Educational_Try_9217@reddit (OP)
The metal tray under it is a bit rusty, but the platform it sits on is good. I hope to exchange the pan out for some sort of system that holds it in place, it feels funny just sitting on top there...

is that a 260? what year? i had a 280zx turbo back in the day it was fun
Engin-nerd@reddit
280Z based on the EFI, but check the block for proper identification. So many swaps on the S30 because parts interchange.

Very good to know!
