I think LaRue takes the cake for very expensive, medium range performance and in my opinion don't look that great.

I bought my BCM recce probably close to 10 years ago now, and it feels better in my hand, like more solid or smoother or something then other rifles I've put together. I think a lot of it is their buffer system and I have never tried the experiment of a BCM buffer system on a homemade assembled rifle, perhaps it's something I should try.

I got an insane deal on it because a friend of mine got it cerakoted and didn't like the color. I couldnt care less about the color.

But I do get it you don't need to spend anywhere near that much money to get a mil spec rifle that will run forever. If you have money and don't need it BCM is awesome.
