Are double poles for curtains not a thing in the UK?

As the title says. I have been looking around for double curtain poles - or poles that would fit together but cannot find any in the local furniture stores.
The only place I could find some were online. However, I would prefer to buy a pair in person because that way I can see whether they are sturdy or not.

I bought some from Dunelm last week, theyre definitely there

Maybe there is a stock change? I might have another look, but I was there 2x and there was nothing or potentially all gone.

No there wasn't a stock change, Dunelm still sell double layer curtain poles there are loads online. Probably the specific store you went to has just sold out, did you ask an employee? Try looking online.

Dunelm do them and they are pretty sturdy.

You mean to have heavy curtains on the outside and piles on the inside ?

Yes, I cannot find them in the stores mentioned above. Maybe I need to go to a larger branch but it is indeed confusing why there is none.

You need a better store dunelm have lots !
Thalamic_Cub@reddit
If they mean this they sell them everywhere, dunelm, argos, heck ikea even do a double rail.

Yeah, Dunelm doesn't have it, with Argos, it seems you have to order it, which I am unsure about but can try, but I really want to hold them before buying and in Argos you basically have to order. IKEA seems a bit flimsy but so far that was the only option. I am looking for something sturdy. Sorry for being a pain, really! Thanks for the suggestions and replies so far!

Thats much better. Thanks for replying so promptly and showing exactly what you are looking for.
VieElle@reddit
Do you mean telescopic poles?
Broad-Economist@reddit (OP)
I would rather not get those as I'm scared they will break easily.
Sixforsilver7for@reddit
IKEA always used to do them. They’re not the best quality but really cheap.
Broad-Economist@reddit (OP)
Thank you, looking for something sturdier like wood but if not, will probs choose IKEA if nothing better comes along.
pulltheudder1@reddit
IKEA sell combination sets that allow upto three rails.
