This is trolling? It akin to not wanting to visit Argentina due to the risk of getting hantavirus. Sure it can happen. It does happen. But it’s very rare. You can expect an ICE interaction to be as frequent as a school shooting, a wrongful arrest, or a building fire. Sure, those things happen but are quite rare. Even more unlikely is that they will happen to you. Anyway. The interaction would go usually as similar as an alcohol checkpoint. “Are you a US citizen? No. Where are you from and what are you doing here? I’m Argentinian and came for the World Cup. …. Database check….. thank you, have. A good day.”

The short answer is that none of us know. The long answer is that the answers will probably be very biased from the right. Reality is that ICE has kidnapped first and asked questions later, they have killed people, they have raped women, etc. they have actually worn disguises and targeted people. They have racially profiled but they have taken white immigrants from Latin America and other parts of the world as well. Just be vigilant and be prepared for whatever could happen. It’s better to be prepared than to not be.

Most of us have never seen ICE. Its a huge country. We're not dodging immigration raids on our way to work. Like in any country you're visiting, you should carry a copy of your passport. But ICE generally knows who they're looking for.

I hate Trump and ICE, let me start with that. But the absolute worst is over and ended a couple months ago. ICE is behaving better now than before due to the negative publicity. You are a legitimate tourist and have a visa along with many many thousands of other foreigners. The chances of having any problems are microscopic. Don't believe the media.

What is wc games? What time of year will you be driving? Regarding hateful people, you are VERY VERY VERY unlikely to meet any. Most of the hate is towards illegal immigrants and refugees moving into areas, but even still that is not really something you will encounter on a short trip. Tourists are generally welcomed, and there are many Spanish speakers here too.

Honestly, we can't really say. Should you have to be scared of ICE? No you shouldn't. You aren't doing any thing wrong. That said, they have killed white naturally born citizens who were doing nothing wrong. So nobody is safe. Most likely there won't be issues is all we can really say.

As a U.S. citizen, at this time in our nation, I would fear for a Latin American visitor from overseas. It would be one thing if all you had to fear was being sent back to your own country (no big deal, in the long run). However, this administration is illegally keeping U.S. citizens, legal immigrants, *and* illegal immigrants in inhumane detention centers, then sending them to countries that are NOT their home countries.

It is safe. I have literally never seen an ICE agent. The USA wants all the tourists we can get. These rumors have harmed the tourist industry from foreign countries. Just have your proper documentation (passport). Which we all should do when we travel.
