Today's ration: open top dutch oven apple pie, estimate 1600 calories.

Been about 23 hours since i last ate (leftovers yesterday), worked plowing and planting all day yesterday, plus a few evening miles on my bike. Up early though didn't sleep last night from back pain. Fired up the stove since it was 49f in the cabin and humid, made the pie then while it cooled i walked my dogs 4 miles before today's rain starts, it started just as i got back. Haven't eaten or drank in a while and procrastinating to make this post lol.

1 jiffy pie crust mix and water to smear the dough on the oven. Then i dumped a quart of homemade pie filling into it. These apples are firmer than last time so didn't become mushy sauce and the clearjel didn't all become a solid mass at the bottom. I had more cinnamon in this jar but still very little added sugar.

This is all I'm eating today. In excruciating pain and will be bedridden all day, overdid it lol :)

Ngl pal this post reads like self-harm (there are many types of self-harm, it’s not just self-injury or substance abuse).

Unsolicited advice, but you should consider taking it a little easier, being a little gentler to your body, sleeping and eating more if at all possible. 1600 calories is a very meager ration, and inadequate when you’re doing physical labor for hours on end. I’m sure you have other stuff going on in your life and are clearly living a unique lifestyle that many of us are ignorant about, but your body is just an animal — it has simple needs (food, water, rest, warmth, etc) and it deserves to have those needs fully sated!

I just walked another 2 miles because I'm bored.

Just walking can be called self harm as its excruciatingly painful given half my spines bolted together, i do it anyway.

I really wish i had some ice cream right now, but while i have some money i have no way to get to where ice crram is. No fridge to store it so gotta buy it each time and the nearest place is several townships away, far beyond my ability to get to on foot or bike. So i am eating just what's in my shack and there really isn't much left to choose from.

Some food pantries will deliver food to those who are unable to get there. Some churches will also help with food or food delivery. Just an option so you aren't starving yourself. How are you feeding your dogs?
