Hi i bought my computer a couple years back. I basically play every game but mostly competitive stuff where i just want more fps like rust, fortnite, ecc.. I play on a 2k 240hz monitor so thats the target resolution and i have a 4070 super. Honestly i want to get close to the 240fps on nearly every game for example right now on rust i get 120-200 fps depending on where i am in the map, or like in Arc raiders i get 120-150 without using dlls on decent graphics setting. The question is is it worth it to upgrade to a better cpu, i was thinking about either a 7800x3d (just by reading forums and watching videos i saw that it was the most recommended) or the 7 9800x3d, but if you have any other cpu that you think is better ltk.
