Title:
First 1 Lakh Gaming PC Build (1440p) – RX 7700 XT vs RX 9060 XT Build Advice Needed

Hi everyone, I’m building my gaming PC with a budget around ₹1 lakh mainly for 1440p gaming in India. I’d like opinions on whether these builds are balanced and if there are better value parts I should consider.
Build Option 1 – RX 7700 XT
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
- Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
- GPU: Sapphire PULSE RX 7700 XT 12GB
- RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 3200MHz (1x16GB)
- SSD: Samsung 980 1TB PCIe 3.0
- Cooler: Deepcool AG400 ARGB
- PSU: Deepcool GamerStorm PN750D 750W Gold
- Cabinet: Antec CX700 RGB Elite
Build Option 2 – RX 9060 XT 16GB
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
- Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
- GPU: Sapphire PULSE RX 9060 XT OC 16GB
- RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 3200MHz (1x16GB)
- SSD: Samsung 980 1TB PCIe 3.0
- Cooler: Deepcool AG400 ARGB
- PSU: Deepcool GamerStorm PN650D 650W Gold
- Cabinet: Antec CX700 ARGB
Main questions:
- Which GPU would you choose for 1440p gaming and long-term value?
- Is the Ryzen 5 5600 still enough for this tier of GPU?
- Should I switch to 2x8GB RAM instead of 1x16GB which i plan to buy later on?
- Is the Samsung 980 worth it, or are SSDs like WD SN770 / XPG S60 Blade / Crucial T500 better value?
- Are the PSU and cabinet choices good?
- Any better changes you’d make while keeping the budget near ₹1 lakh?
Would really appreciate suggestions before I finalize the build.

Definitely the 9060xt as its the latest gen and has fs4 (RDNA 3 does not officially) and 4gb more vram. Also id suggest to go for 2x8gb ram rather than 1x16 if you dont plan to upgrade anytime soon, dual channel is better, but if you do upgrade soon then sure you can go wid 1x16. And ill really suggest to not get the samsung 980 pro unless for a realy good deal. just get a normal nvme due to the crisis and you wont find any diff if youre mainly gaming. You can upgrade one the crisis cools off (or check used market).

Okay thank you. What about psu and Cabinet options that might be better. I would like a gold and semi or fully modular psu.

I personally use the DEEPCOOL DQ750M-V3L for my 7800xt that which i build 2 years ago. Its a good option and you could take the (DeepCool PN650M 650W 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular Power Supply), its slightly more but its worth it if you want gold and fully modular. As for the case, you can go with anything as far it has decent fans and room to breathe.(its mainly for the looks which is personal pref)

For now I would say get a cheap ssd 256gb and hope that ssd prices cool off in a year. Definitely go with 9060xt
