Trying to max out AM4 for 240Hz Valorant streaming. Is the 5500X3D enough?

I am currently using a Ryzen 5 5600X, an ASUS TUF RTX 3060 12GB, and 32GB of T-Force Delta DDR4 RAM (4x8GB at 3200MHz). I play Valorant while using Outplayed and TikTok Live Studio. When I stream and record at the same time using Outplayed, my FPS in Valorant drops too low for my 240Hz monitor often dipping to 200 and below. However, when I am just playing without streaming, I get 250 to 350 FPS.
Is it worth getting a Ryzen 5 5500X3D right now to improve my average FPS and 1% lows? Will it let me maintain 400+ FPS while streaming and recording? I find the 5700X3D to be unreasonably overpriced for an old AM4 processor, and my goal is simply to hit a stable 300 to 400 FPS while multitasking. I saw a YouTube video where someone hit 400 to 500 FPS with a 5500X3D and an old GTX 1060 GPU. Moving to AM5 is too expensive for me right now. I just want to max out my AM4 build and wait for AM5 prices to drop or just wait until AM6 comes out before doing a platform upgrade.
For reference here is the yt video: https://youtu.be/1tYhsUOdNCY?si=gIQz265GzSOgvL7G

As someone with a 9800x3d and 1080 gpu I can’t hit 240hz consistent. My lows are 190-200 and 410 average. i play 1680 res

You might be gpu bound because the 1080 is no longer the beast it once was. With a 9070xt I was getting alot higher in the d2 benchmark. It might've been around low/mid 700's iirc with lows around 300 and this was at 1440p. Haven't tried with the animgraph 2 update which has allegedly improved performance.

Yes i am. I spent 1K (brought 2 motherboards cause one arrived dead) on cpu ram case upvraded from my 11 year old am4 rig. Ill get a gpu next month
kawaii_Summoner@reddit
He is entirely GPU bound.
I just upgraded my PC for CS2. Did it in 2 stages, here's my benchmarks at 1280x960 with low/competitive settings.
I7 9700k & GTX 1070 - ~190fps
9850x3d & GTX 1070 - 400fps avg, 210fps 1% lows
9850x3d & 9060xt 16gb - 800fps avg, 310fps 1% lows

How does one end up with a 9800x3D and 1080 pairing if you don’t mind me asking.

Im building pc upgraded from my 1080 7700L. I spent 1K on psu case motherboard ram ssd. Next month ill be able to buy a 5070ti. My pc wont work without any of those things i brought. It will work with my 1080 lol. I only play cs so its fine. Massive improvement on my fps compared to my 7700K so im happy for a month

That is my dream cpu! Sadly it is too expensive. I am aiming for 7800x3d but ram is my problem so I'll temporarily upgrade my cpu a little while waiting. Just to improve the fps. Thank you for answering my question!
Far-Investigator6204@reddit
And why you want fucking 240hz streaming ?
kokosgt@reddit
It takes elementary school level physics to understand, that 400 FPS is really dumb goal in online game. Sadly, that level of education seems to be out of reach for majority of hero shooter genre players.
TopWise5884@reddit (OP)
I mean I am using 240 hz monitor,
Far-Investigator6204@reddit
Go to settings , put x264 to NVENC , bitrate to 6000kbit and done. The fps dips will be gone after that 😄 Let me know.
SoapHero117@reddit
I think he wants still 240fps ingame while streaming. And now with stream running his pc is too weak to hit 240fps+ if the stream is active
Far-Investigator6204@reddit
The he need to stop using his CPU for streaming and start using NVENC , problem solved as written above.
TopWise5884@reddit (OP)
Yes, that's what I am talking about. Thank you for clarifying my question
kawaii_Summoner@reddit
Bro what are you even saying? Do you not understand what he's talking about?
Far-Investigator6204@reddit
Bro I do know wtf he is talking about , But the title is a bit misleading isnt it ? And what I am saying is pure logic you dumbfuck.

Capping below slightly below 240 is better anyways for lower latency and better consistency. See how the non x3d chips compare to their x3d counterparts from reputable sources and then make an educated guess taking into account relative clock speeds. Comparing a 5500x3d to a 5600 directly for valorant specifically may be tough to find good information on.

I see, you have a point. I will check more reviews and benchmark for 5500x3d and do some research. Thank you for the tips!

5800x3d relaunch is coming soon, it might be worth waiting for.
But yes, a x3d cpu will improve your 1% lows.
TopWise5884@reddit (OP)
Ohh really? Then it might be good to wait for it. Thank you for the info!

are u using nvidia's encoder?

Yes
