Need Help choosing my First EDC Handgun!!

I am gonna buy my first ever handgun, I have never fired a handgun before,
I went to store and checked some handguns like Sig p365 xMacro Comp, Springfield Hellcat Pro, Walther PDP Pro.
I heard many good things about sig p365 that its slim, easily to conceal and have 17 mag
but I liked the ergonomics and grip of Hellcat Pro, like the place on right side to place your finger and the iron sight is also cool
and for Walther PDP Pro, I loved the looks on it , it looks cool and I like it , but I found it little bit bigger and heavier than the other 2
so I am very confused which one to buy and I have not fired these all pistols before
need your suggestions guys, Thanks

I’d go rent all 3 at a range first but for me I carry a hellcat pro it’s my favorite out of my 3 handguns the trigger is definitely heavy but I’ve come to like that makes me feel better with it being so close to my crotch

I am confused between hellcat pro and echelon comp now
HammerheadBeniss@reddit
If you want more customization I’d lean into the echelon as there is more 3rd party parts but if you want it strictly for edc I’d go for the hellcat pro if that helps any

Hahahahah

Honestly the hellcat pro is great, that is my main carry gun. The rear sight is shit though.

Good to know! I love its grip too Super nice to hold it, i am thinking about echelon now But i am gonna try and use it

I personally really love the CZ P-10S. They are super reliable and comfortable to shoot and carry. Additionally the trigger is so much nicer than other striker fire options I’ve tried. They feel like an updated, customized glock right out of the box, and they are super affordable!

Ohh thanks, let me check how it looks like

The trigger on the Hellcat is challenging. It has a relatively heavy pull and longer travel. It is harder to learn to press it without moving the gun. Not moving the gun as you press the trigger is the whole challenge of shooting handguns.
The Shield Plus is significantly easier to shoot accurately and still small and slim enough to be a great carry gun. The PDP is on the verge of not being a carry gun.
How the gun feels in your dominant hand hand is surprisingly less important than other variables. First of all you have to know how to build a two hand grip and that is whst needs to feel good. For example, for me, the Hellcat feels good in one hand but the small grip actually doesn't have as much room for the heel of my support hand.

True i agree, i have to try before buying

Make sure to shoot everything you’re considering. At one point I traded my X macro for a Shield X because the grip felt amazing but gosh darn it I was so freaking inaccurate with it. Lesson learned went back to a macro.

The Walther PDP is a full sized/compact (depending on the version you get.) pistol.
The Sig p365 and the Springfield Hellcat are micro compact pistols.
A full sized/compact pistol is easier to shoot, it help with the recoil, it's easier to learn your pistol shooting fundamentals on.
A micro compact is smaller, lighter, easier to carry but they are harder to shoot and a little less suited to learn on. But it can be done though.
I'd recommend the PDP or another pistol in the full size to compact category to start with. (Glock 19/Ruger RxM, Beretta PX4, HK VP9, Springfield Echelon, FN 509, Beretta APXA1, S&W M&P 2.0, CZ, P09, CZ P10, Beretta 92FS to name a few in addition to the PDP) If you get a compact one, (4 inch barrel length give or take) it can be carried if you want, just get a good belt and holster, don't skimp out on these items, a leather belt from a clothing store will not cut it. You can then always add a second pistol one you've become more proficient at shooting.
I'd also urge you to take a basics class, and see about renting some pistols at a range, do keep in mind that most ranges will not rent to you if they don't know you, you don't have a firearms of your own, you don't have someone else with you. This is for liability reasons.

Thankyou that's a really good suggestion
I live in Utah, USA and I went to range and they told me I need to have someone with me, so I am planning to do that on saturday
I also think PDP looked cool visually and yes for sure I am gonna buy Belt, Holster, Optics, Earphones, Glasses
I am gonna try PDP, P365 and Hellcat

Check out the Glock 48. It has a 4" barrel and is a slim profile, so early to conceal. The newest ones should come with 15 round mags. It has a rmrc optic cut so you can direct mount many different optics.
Outstanding fun. Way nicer to shoot them the Hellcat.
Also check out a Shield Plus.
The PDP Pro Compact is a great gun. Hard to conceal though unless you have a very flat stomach and a large chest. It is bulky and thick and has a huge magwell that will want to print.

Thankyou so much suggestion! I will see how Glock 48 and Shield Plus feels in my hand as to test its grip
As I said idk how hellcat or any pistol shoots like, but hellcat grip was really good.
yes PDP is thick and bulky gun I saw that today in store but it looks cooler too.

Keep in mind, “how it feels in your hand” is not always an indicator of how well you’re going to shoot it. Glocks are clunky and do not feel good, but i shoot them really well
Big_Hat1751@reddit
Sigs are overpriced imo🤷 I have had a hellcat for like 5 years and it’s fantastic.
karrie0027@reddit (OP)
good to know its working amazing, which optic do you use?
Big_Hat1751@reddit
When I run one a holosun 507. But I’ll admit to being a little chunky so the smaller the better and I usually don’t have it on the gun😅

I've got a hellcat pro I like, I did throw in mcarbo trigger to help with the reset though. It's not a bad pistol. Normally I carry a commander 1911 in 9mm these days. My best recommendation is go to a store and fondle everything, see what feels good in the hands and try to rent or borrow them to test them out..

shoot some handguns first please

okay thanks
