What should I get and do for a car guy’s 18th birthday??

Hey guys, I need help 😭

One of my close friends is turning 18 and he’s really into cars, but I have no idea what car guys actually like getting for birthdays. I don’t wanna buy something useless💀

What are some good gift ideas for an 18 year old car guy?

Also for the birthday we’re thinking of getting an Airbnb, playing card games and getting drunk basically lol. I want it to be kinda like a secret/surprise birthday too and we might do a bonfire. Any ideas to make it more fun or memorable? Or any other ideas?

Tools are great but you've gotta understand what he doesn't have but needs, or what he has but doesn't like because it's crap.

Find out if he has an impact wrench. If he doesn't, get him an AEG 1/2". Makes mechanic-ing a whole lot easier

We have an extremely fast go cart track near us. Can't get near 55mph on straight stretch. Did this for a bachelor party and everyone had a blast. Might be something he would enjoy.

I mean a budget would of been good but a decent impact if he works on his car or half decent tool box , as he 18 be something he keeps for a very long time 🤷🏻‍♂️

I would avoid anything parts or tool related as most car guys are pretty picky with what they want or need. I personally always love experiences over material items. Not sure what your budget is, but that cottage idea sounds great.

Also if he has a project car or something he owns already a mobile detail session is always appreciated.

if a car guy and you want to get him something for car then i suggest what i write below. , or even a complete hand wash detailing certificate ! i dont know what budget is ! but if from you hopefully he’s will appreciate whatever you get him ! get him a roar pedal , for his car , simple do it yourself mod he can do it! available on almost all cars ! once installed it allows you to adjust the delay or sensitivity when gas pedal depressed giving the feeling of more responsiveness but not doing anything to engine performance just takes out lag all cars have now bc throttle is controlled by computer and not a throttle wire anymore ! there many companies but i found the roar pedal best for price point at 150 bucks or so , you dont need the separate screen option as everything is controlled by app instantly! happy birthday

don't go with tools. it's never a good idea to get tools for a hobby, the person likely has preferences and already has most of what they need.

Golden icon ratchet from harbor freight. Its about 60 bucks, which is dumb, but i bought it. Its badass and actually very high quality. 24k gold plated is big pimpin. If he works on his own cars he will appreciate it just cuz its a cool novelty. At least i think its cool
