The chocolate chip cookies at Cafe Duro and the nutty chocolate chip at Maman.
Muted_Chard_139@reddit
NOT Crumbl. Awful people in there
arg777@reddit (OP)
have had crumbl before and i hate the cookies there
StrLord_Who@reddit
Crumbl are not even cookies, they are just piles of goo.
Insomnia has really good cookies.
Delicious_Hand527@reddit
Insomnia is ok, but way overpriced.
TheNaptimeShake@reddit
It’s like if someone left cookies out in the rain.
VioletNewstead@reddit
I don’t know about best in Dallas, because I usually like to bake my own cookies, but Potbelly’s oatmeal chocolate chip is delicious!
I don’t understand the love for JD Chippery. The cookies are underbaked, flavorless, and need salt and vanilla. I like a gooey cookie, but the taste of raw flour is gross.

Cookie Society
rimjob_steve@reddit
A good friend of mine is a cookie a holic and she says cookie society is the best around and it’s not close.
Individual-Salary535@reddit
The sound they make when I break them in half. 😮💨
j_husk@reddit
Yep, this is my answer too.
Especially any of their pie cookies - they have pie crust on the bottom and fruit filling in the middle, and they're always amazing.
rimjob_steve@reddit
There’s a take and bake cookie in the freezer section at jimmys that’s red velvet. And I absolutely love that cookie. Make it gooey or make it crunchy it’s good both ways.
dfwfoodcritic@reddit
Depends on your definition of the best cookie. Do you like gooey chewy? Or crispy crunchy? It's been three years since I visited literally every single cookie bakery for a taste test, but tldr:
crispy choc chop: Stein's
gooey choc chip: Village Baking, Cookie Society
right in the middle: Kessler Baking Studio
really weird but compellingly good: Lubellas Patisserie (it's shaped like a hockey puck and filled with tiny chips)
dfwfoodcritic@reddit
I also love Leila's peanut butter cookie. Oh and Sara's Market in Richardson makes incredible cookies of all kinds, legit top tier.
IcyPie2318@reddit
I don’t leave the dallas bubble but Sara’s market might get me to go to Richardson after your post.
rimjob_steve@reddit
The rest of what they sell is also awesome. Their pita bread in the back is perfect for making shawarma sandwiches. And they have a market for cooked food by it. Get the garlic sauce.
Leader_Bud@reddit
Yeah, I’m so close to Kessler Baking Studio…AND those guys always kill me with kindness as soon as I crack the fucking door open…?! It makes the cookies 10.5x greater than they were already…and they were already top tier.
IcyPie2318@reddit
Yep. Kessler is first class all the way.
etchasketchpandemic@reddit
The Blondies at Kessler Baking Studio is where it’s at!
liberalamerican@reddit
If you go to Kessler Baking Studio, don’t miss the Kesslerdoodle. Outstanding cookie!
jennifaerie16@reddit
The Lubella’s cookie is sooooo good!

Duro Cafe cookies are so gooey and chocolatey! My second pick is Oak Cliff Bread and Kuluntu
rabidbabybunni@reddit
Kessler is SO damn good. And grab some biscotti while you are there too.
pacochalk@reddit
Oatmeal Cranberry Orange cookie from Central Market
Delightfuldisarray@reddit
The frozen cookie dough at Festive Kitchen is unreal. The red velvet and chocolate chip are extraordinary.
abqokcla@reddit
There is a Dallas influencer who has been doing a series of trying to find the best chocolate chip cookie over the last few weeks. Her handle is brittanyroseblog and I generally like her content. Might be worth checking out!
hallerrr@reddit
My wife makes a mean cookie.
But probably JD’s Chippery. Get a cookie cake for my birthday from there every year!
DaddyDontTakeNoMess@reddit
Your wife’s cookies brings all the boys to the yard. No disrespect. I couldn’t help it.
whatsagirltodo123@reddit
Their sugar cookies are everything to me
SirWillingham@reddit
Great one cookie company
IcyPie2318@reddit
Kessler has the best oatmeal creampies on the planet. Everything they have is great actually. Jd chippery also very solid and have great lemonade if you like that.

hmmmm, better try the Kessler and Haute Sweets oatmeal creme pies together at one meal to check the difference!
(I love that Kessler turns their old cookies into biscotti. Best biscotti on the planet too.)
IcyPie2318@reddit
Both are great. If Kessler was on ubereats I’d weigh 600 lbs.
OneMoreRoundForMe@reddit
Stay away from Tiff’s Treats. Notoriously undercooked, incompetent employees, piss poor attitude, …
Tiiimmmaayy@reddit
They ain’t terrible. Can usually find some good deals on TooGoodToGo. Barely had any interaction with employees lol

A fun Dallas original is MicroChip Cookies at Preston Forest and Plano. Made in design district, tiny cookies the size of a chip. Great gift.

Loving the mentions here.
Whole Foods’ chocolate chip oatmeal cookie (with some walnuts) is highly slept on. Best oatmeal choc chip ever.

La Rue makes great brown butter chocolate chip.
dfwfoodcritic@reddit

I love the sugar cookie and snickerdoodle cookies at Paradise Bakery & Cafe - Alpha & Tollway. I buy a dozen and freeze them!
Their chocolate chip cookies are pretty good too but a little too gooey for my taste.
argonautserious@reddit
The ones that you make at home are the best. Here’s a great recipe , that if you start tonight, you can have cookies by Thursday. This is the only way I make them now.
arg777@reddit (OP)
i bake at home quite often! my favorite thing to make is dark chocolate orange zest cookies. the problem is that i can’t afford certain appliances that would make baking easier (like a hand mixer or something) and i often don’t feel like i have the time to bake (demanding schedule)
dfwfoodcritic@reddit
dark chocolate orange zest cookies sound really good
arg777@reddit (OP)
the recipe i use: https://laneandgreyfare.com/chocolate-orange-cookies/

Slow Bone has the best cookie in Dallas.
BigHouseBarbell@reddit
What do y'all think about Chip City Cookies? Tried them for the first time this past weekend.
Some of the flavors were better than others. I felt like a few were good but the structure of the cookie was too soft. And others were perfect.
Crying_in_99Ranch@reddit
I haven't had it yet but I've heard really good things about the cookies at Croix Bakehouse in Frisco. Everything else there is amazing so I trust them
Rosie_Raccoon@reddit
That might be one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever eaten. Thank goodness it’s far away and the sticker shock is real.
tripleblue85@reddit
Croix has giant cakey/chewy cookies, similar to the ones famous in NYC years ago. They're quite expensive, but 1 cookie is the size of 3 from other bakeries. Definitely recommend getting one next time you're there!
Crying_in_99Ranch@reddit
Alrighty, appreciate the insight. You've definitely sold me on getting some next time!
MSHinerb@reddit
Peanut butter cookie At mikes chicken.
