Just scheduled my discovery flight this coming Friday!

I had been battling over whether this was a good decision for quite some time. My GF was coming over for dinner, so I booked a 1-hr discovery flight while dinner was in the oven. I told her about it, and she was very supportive.
Also, I did some research on here, and you all said that a 1-hr flight is preferable to a 30-min flight because it's a lot less rushed. I just felt like it was worth the extra $125 to book the additional time.
If there is anything I need to be aware of or ask about before the discovery flight, please let me know. Thanks!

Ask CFI to do some commercial manuevers.

What are commercial maneuvers?
AlbiMappaMundi@reddit
Ask to see an accelerated stall, steep turns, and unusual attitude recoveries.
(just kidding)
Just go up, experience being in the air and behind the controls, and see if it's something that brings joy and delight.

Is it really a discovery flight of you don't do a power off 180 on 20kt winds?? /s
FutureA350@reddit
remember to share all info about the CFI to the FAA if he doesnt know how to do the commercial maneuvers say hes an incompetent pilot

Make sure your CFI knows ahead of time if you want a more lesson-oriented flight or a more sightseeing-oriented flight.

A good CFI will ask beforehand.

Okay, that's good to know.

If you’re aspiring to work for the airlines and fly long hauls, don’t sleep for the 20 hours prior to your discovery flight😁

I made baked salmon, baked sweet potatoes, steamed broccoli, and I ordered some pork mac n' cheese from this place called Core Life and she picked it up on the way over.

Do: Show up on time. Shower, brush your teeth, put on deodorant, wear clean, casual clothes you can move around in, eat something before the flight, bring a water bottle, go to the bathroom before you head out to the plane.
If you start feeling motion sick, mention it immediately...don't try and tough it out.
Don't: Put on cologne, scent, etc.
How was the salmon?

The salmon was good.
