I barely remember watching that. I know it starred OJ and Delta Burke. I somehow conflated it with a whole bunch of football movies that showed up like Fast Times at Ridgemont, Best of Times and Monday Night Football.
I was way to young to b watching that show but my dad loves it i got to see titties and stuff lol.. I remember one scene we're a trainer was draining fluid off a player's knee with a cyreng it kinda scared me lol
Yeah it's a bummer. That movie was a big part of my childhood. It got me into martial arts and boxing. He nailed that role and seemed like a really down to earth guy. Its sad to know he's gone.
RIP. I have a soliloquy I sometimes like to give when drunk in which I argue that Bloodsport is one of the most important and influential movies of all time. Fighting video games and the UFC both owe a ton to that movie (which, if you are unaware, despite being billed as a true story, was sold as such based on the ramblings of a deranged compulsive liar).
Revenge of the Nerds doesn't hold up, unfortunately, but it wasn't his fault
Love Bloodsport, must have watched it 20x in college. Buddy of mine went to the hospital and got stitches in his head trying to recreate one of the fights

Oh, man. I loved Donald Gibb in “Revenge of the Nerds” & “Bloodsport.” I was hoping one day to run into Gibb at a con and have something autographed.
Jackson was such a good pal. Protective and supportive of his pal, Frank Dux.
