Just as the title says. Looking for a full size to do more with. Just trying to decide if I sell my pistol and use it for a new AR or convert it.

Spend $360 and get a complete andro, Delton, m&p

Can a m&p upper be attached to a pistol lower with no issues?

You're asking if an AR15 upper will fit an AR15 lower.
Maybe take 10 minutes and educate yourself and don't expect people to spoon feed you.

More like a full sized upper will fit a pistol lower. I'd rather ask others opinions and then make an educated guess than do something wrong and have a malfunction that hurts me or someone else. It's called "being responsible" instead of a fud.

Have both. I’m saying to buy a complete rifle. You can get a decent complete rifle for under $400 if you type those names into Google followed by gundeals. Bet you’ll find one.

Buy a complete upper. If yours started life as a pistol you can always make it a rifle and back to a pistol. You can't do that if it was born as a rifle.

Yeah that's why I'm wanting to make the change but keep the pistol upper if I change my mind. I'm just not sure if it's as easy as buying a new upper or if I need to mess with the gas or other parts.
AscrodF97@reddit
The gas system is contained entirely within the upper assembly. Swapping the upper will swap the gas system as well and should be a simple 1:1 install as long as the lower is in spec.

It started out as a pistol, right? Just buy a rifle upper and whatever buffer kit you want.
midlife_dadpulse73@reddit
Get an upper, and a stock. Swap out, and boom...rifle. Swap again, and boom....pistol.

No sell. Only buy.

Convert.

Buy the cheapest 7075 "milspec" receivers you can find and piece a new one together. I've got a BA premium barrel, kak chrome bcg and Odin gas. Solid comfy trigger setup and a holosun mro, only 7-800 in cuz I didn't give a fuck about what name was on the receiver I looked for 7075 t6 aluminum, milspec, sort by price low to high.

I did the opposite. Bought a PSA PA15 that I built out but then I wanted something a little more compact. Ended up getting a PSA ARP in 5.56 to match the full size and love it. Both were under $500 on sale.

Just buy a new upper receiver
hitemlow@reddit
That's a dark path.
Before they know it, they'll buy a new lower and end up with 2 guns!
Ok-Return7750@reddit
Before they know it they’ll have ten guns and a stack of mags and ammo - and a big credit card bill.
Welcome to the Dark Side my young apprentice. HA HA HA HA HA.

It is. I had the same idea get an upper for my pistol, turned in to a $2000+ build and upgraded the pistol along the way too.
