That 1345 listing is very conservative.
Anecdotal, and no way measured, info here. I'm about halfway through a case of their normal buck. I'd put the recoil force somewhere between Winchester 3 in slugs, and federal 3in flight control buck. Their shit is cookin

I'm just getting into shotguns. Does the low recoil make much a difference here? I'm sure it's coming out of the velocity, but for something like a 14" SBS that isn't going to be engaging at significant distance, does that matter as much?

IME, if you're thinking in terms of PD for low-recoil 00-buck, the answer is no, not really much enough of a difference in most real life situations. 9 pellets at 1200fps is devastating within 30ft. Someone on the receiving end won't notice if they are low-recoil or not....and you probably won't either in that situation (b/c adrenaline) esp if you're using any shotty with a recoil system.
