Finally someone who knows. It was barely an upgrade on textures and they don’t mesh well with the low poly models and geometry. It has other issues. Dusk is probably slightly better or equal to GameCube
The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD remasters make the second screen optional. You choose if you want to use the Wii U gamepad or the Pro Controller at start-up, if you pick the Pro it pretends the gamepad doesn't exist and all menus/maps are in the pause menu like before.
General consensus in the thread is that the UI in the remaster looks better in HD and works better with modern controllers, and the official HD textures strike the balance of being higher detail without breaking the art style like those fan made 4K packs do.
If the PC port had launched with UI customization I doubt anyone would have issues with it.
It’s what a week old? Give it time god damn. Modders aren’t like Nintendo where they push something out and forget it the whole point is that they change stuff around.

Clueless take
The WiiU remaster was worse than the Gamecube version in a number of ways, including the horseback controls which are even in the picture

Emulating Wii u and 3ds is annoying because of the second screens.

The handhelds are a pain in the ass though. Someone did one for Majora's Mask 3D in Citra that literally removes the second screen and fixes it so it plays exactly like the N64 version but no one has done it for Ocarina of Time.

yeah but I don't need to play it on the fucking WiiU

Isn't the point of the PC version to load it with so many mods that the game barely functions?

The announcement trailer showcased a mod that gender swaps Link so you're not wrong.
Once the Telma lewd mods start rolling in, the port will be worth playing

- WiiU port of GameCube game.
everyone mindlessly says it's a system seller like it's the next Mario 64.
WiiU dies and is swiftly forgotten.
