Finally ordered the standalone Haldex controller for the AWD system.

The final piece of the puzzle...... I looked at a couple other alternatives and was hoping to find something less expensive but sometimes you just have to break down and buy something from a company that has a solid background. All said and done with taxes, shipping etc and the Euro to dollar conversion rate it was $1090..... I also spent yesterday wiring up the fuel tank pressure sensor to the ECU so that's operational. While I had the sill plate removed and the seat belt end unbolted the cover which was cracked I just cut it back to the point that's still good. Also did a little polishing on the exhaust.

I had a 1984 Omega sedan as my first car. Faded blue, dent in passenger front fender where my cousin learned to drive. Was my grandmothers car. Amazing to me to see one as a performance machine. Fantastic.

Thanks... This car had its own dents and other issues too.....🙂

Yeah I kept the knuckle, caliper and the hub part of the bearing. People get a good laugh when they see them. 😂

I would totally keep it too and throw it up on a wall in the garage

Look on the bright side, you had no problems getting that half shaft out.

Everytime you post the nostalgia comes back and I love it, thank you.

That was the one thing that stopped my plans for an AWD 6 speed G6 I had. That’s too bad. I’m glad it exists now though.
The Omega is awesome, I love it.

Oh hell yeah.

It's nice when a plan comes together!
Felt so good seeing my Chipped and Slotted ECU and DSMLINK V3 tuning software getting delivered, for my old bird Eclipse. Especially how rare it's becoming to find any, adding-in the cost, plus the different options with different learning paths you can go down, instead of buying the all-in-one, from a trusted source.
I feel you man, you've gotta be STOKED! Massive congrats! Happy building and tinkering with the controller.

As long as it works the way it says it does...... Unlike the engine swap harness I bought from Swap Specialties..... I'm not kidding I swear the guy that built the harness was colorblind....and totally pinned in the connectors wrong 😡😡😡. Next time I'll start with a stock harness and do it myself because I basically had to trace everything...

This project is really impressive.
