A330-200
Murky_Quiet_2440@reddit (OP)
I always wanted to be a pilot. Well, Life happened, and I wasn't privileged enough to go to flight school. I wanted to get a tattoo of an airplane and this was the only time where I was able to sit in a cockpit after my dad asked the pilot if I could see the cockpit because I was crazy for planes
Help identify the aircraft, whether it's a Boeing or an airbus, and what model this is. I flew on an airbus a380 around this time too, but can't remember if it was the A380's cockpit that I sat in.
Best_Big_9456@reddit
Definitely not an A380, but it is an A330. An Emirates A330 (given the hat you’re wearing in the photo)
Cappy221@reddit
Ok, unless you have any other info to share that disproves it, Emirates Airbus A330-200 registration A6-EKZ would be my best guess.
Considering it is probably an emirates aircraft (like u/Level-Ad-1627 suggested), if my eyes don't deceive me and the last 2 letters of the registration are indeed KZ, I would say it is a decent estimation
Best_Big_9456@reddit
I knew it was emirates from the hat

https://www.airfleets.fr/ficheapp/plane-a330-345.htm
If was in service for emirates between 2000 and 2013
It still flies as of now for aero nomad apparently

TIL that even with glasses, I need new eyes.

A330-300
LifeMycologist897@reddit
It’s an A330, you can tell because of the two thrust levers and the throttle being shaped differently.
redyambox@reddit
A330. The gear indicator is a dead giveaway.
god i hate those CRT screens on the legacys
Brutal_De1uxe@reddit
"It's the little room at the front of the plane, where the pilots sit but that's not important right now"

A330 - windows, angles, two engines.
IliterateTechnologst@reddit
Its 95% sure its an air plane. 5% sure its a space ship.
Perfect_Big_5907@reddit
Clean cockpit. Gotta be a bus !
Tony_Three_Pies@reddit
It's definitely an Airbus, and I'm going to second the A330.
Bradyj23@reddit
It’s an A330. Window shades are different than the 320. Only 2 thrust levers so can’t be a 380 or 340.
TwujZnajomy27@reddit
the throttle levers don't seem to have the secondary reverse levers present on the 33 but not the 32
This_Is_TwoThree@reddit
Add in the fact OP’s got an Emirates hat on and they’ve never operated the A320.
Jetsetter_Princess@reddit
Closest they've gotten is the A319 for Executive.
Armodeen@reddit
Was gonna say, on the left looks to be an early emirates uniform, and they certainly operated the A330 😊
Jetsetter_Princess@reddit
It's not early, that uniform is pinstriped which came in circa 2008 with the A380. Then the rest of the crew started to wear it, so it's probably 2009 or later
Stegosaurus69@reddit
Well the 380 started with a glass cockpit
nckbrr@reddit
Also the gravity gear extension and 3rd FMGC
emjay181@reddit
Can confirm A330 is correct.
Gremlin0@reddit
A330.
Deer-in-Motion@reddit
Looks like an early A320 to me. CRT screens for displays.
I_like_cake_7@reddit
Yup. You can tell it’s an A330 because the two main landing gear indicator lights have a blank space in between them. Only the A330 has that.
Bradyj23@reddit
No doubt it’s a A330.
Cheesekurs@reddit
EK A333-200
RecentVariety8973@reddit
it’s a330 - ceo ( not the neo ) It’s got the 3rd MCDU . 320 - doesn’t have shades 350 - screens are different 340& 380 - u have 4 levers Definitely not a 310
TheRonsterWithin@reddit
Not sure but it's gotta be a really new, super-automated model in order to have such a young first officer.
geohubblez18@reddit
What are you insinuating.

Emirates A330. Have spent countless hours on this beautiful airplane.
Spiritual-One-683@reddit
It’s definitely an airbus

A330
ywgflyer@reddit
Emirates 330. Hat has an EK logo and it's clearly a 330 deck.
Icy_Huckleberry_8049@reddit
Airbus airframe, not sure of the designator, though - A300 something for sure.
TalkingCanadaSnowman@reddit
Definitely an A330, a few quick things catch my eye:
Source: Airbus pilot at a company with A320s and A330s
Pro-editor-1105@reddit
3 MCDUs and the CRTs means it's no doubt an early built a330-200 or 300
colin8651@reddit
You were born well after the PS1 and probably in Pre-K on 911; best I could do

Emirates A330
Cappy221@reddit
I would need a rough route/airport/timeframe to nail down the exact A330 pictured here. I can't read the registration or selcal
ThatGuyNamedThatGuy@reddit
A330, I think. Someone who knows Airbus better than I do can probably point out something obvious and definite, but since it only has two engines (based on two thrust levers and two gauges on the center-top display.) the A380 and A340 are out. The section of the panel with the green gear indicators wraps around (above and right of) the gear lever, which appears to be different from the A320-family but matches photos I've checked of the A330.
SnooHabits6412@reddit
Any idea about the flight details like date, airline, or route? We might even narrow it down to the exact aircraft you rode through its tail number to make your tattoo more specific.
