A restaurant I went to years ago in New Orleans, it was called Reds, was a “Chinese and American fusion” restaurant. They had cheeseburger fried rice on their menu and it was SO GOOD. Nice work OP

What a coincidence. I’m an Asian American born in New Orleans.
my-dads-so-hot@reddit
True serendipity. Not there anymore? I just spent last weekend there for my bachelor party. The news I recently saw about how shoreline erosion has “passed the point of no return” has left me really sad
IrisSmartAss@reddit
Pretty good for what you had to work with.

That's what I call it when I make it with bacon. You use a bit of the bacon grease instead of oil.

In Malaysia we have this variation of Fried Rice called "Nasi Goreng USA" ( USA Fried Rice )
It has fried rice, with an abundance of sausages, eggs, some diced veggies, onions, garlic, shallots, and tomato sauce.
pirapataue@reddit
In Thailand we have a dish called American Fried Rice, basically fried rice mixed with ketchup, served with ham, fried chicken, sausages, eggs.

Hot dog fried rice gives off strong Korean vibes as well.

This is normal in my country. Fried rice is best made with cold left over rice. Slap some sunny side egg there and you're done

I made mine tonight with leftover tempeh bacon. Leftovers and vegetable scraps are what fried rice is all about! And it was really good.
Glum-Supermarket1274@reddit
Nice. Fried rice is such a great recipe to learn for anyone and everyone. So useful for cleaning out left overs and also ingredients.
JDM_562@reddit
Nothing is shitty about this at all. You turned shit into something good.
SparklingLimeade@reddit
Fried rice is a traditional "make the leftovers better" food. So this is just carrying on the old culinary traditions.

Nice work turning leftovers into something more!
MelonJelly@reddit
It was shitty. You upcycled it into something so much more.
Shady_Scientist@reddit
i have done this
Trainzguy2472@reddit
That is how fried rice is supposed to be. Leftover vegetables, rice that dried out from being in the fridge too long, a few eggs, frozen veggie mix, cubed spam or hot dogs. Nothing shitty about that.
What is shitty, though, is ordering it at a restaurant. If you do, know that you're getting the restaurant's leftovers, too.
SwatsOmatic@reddit
Nicely done, this is actually a good combo, love burgers and hot dogs and fried rice with it.
StrangeNothing0@reddit
I weirdly love when I’m down to only a few ingredients left in the house and I have to try and come up with a dish out of them if I want to eat, it’s like I’m on Masterchef. This looks pretty decent tbh.
