Just remember, Zelensky is not ethnically Ukrainian, so all those Slavs dying don’t matter to him or his inner circle (Yermak, Mindich, etc). Also, he was literally made dictator for life when his term expired by Sec. of State Anthony Blinken.
nivh_de@reddit
He's born in Ukraine as well as his parents, what in the racist hell you talking about?
True-Alfalfa8974@reddit
Think again about what country he was born in
nivh_de@reddit
In what is today Ukraine and luckily not the Soviet Union anymore. Again, what in the racist hell you talking about?
space_doughnut69@reddit
He's a Jew. Jews don't care about Slavs. Do you get it now?
nivh_de@reddit
Unfortunately, I saw that coming
dodo91@reddit
Yeah and russia is the awesome bastion of freedomland we should support so they conquer ukraine
Reddit_BroZar@reddit
Or we might want to stay out of this mess all together and let two dictators figure it out. Like a regular regional conflict without making it a global one. Could save a couple of millions of folks there easily.
dodo91@reddit
why would we allow a far worse horribler egime that is precisely the reason Ukraine is the way it is now expand further and be more emboldened?
Reddit_BroZar@reddit
dodo91@reddit
It is not a false premise.
On the one side there is a nuclear armed dictatorship with openly declared expansionist claims, a regime that constantly feeds far right and far left all over the world destabilizing every free democracy for its own goals. A coutnry controlled by a mafia that sucks the blood out of all of their citizens and tries to ensure the whole world becomes their oil customer.
Stopping this menace is in the interest of anyone, even if it means supporting Ukraine with its mismanagements.
All of US living in one form of democracy care about this or should care about this.
Secondly, the US support to Ukraine is already minimized. At least more than a year now, USA has stopped sending financial support and also weaponry is also extensively reduced. The only weapons that go from USA are the ones PURCHASED by EU to send to Ukraine. Ukraine has managed to create an extensive network of drone production which is single handedly carrying the war for them both at tactical and even strategic level (hence why Putin cannot even hold a parade on Moscow without Zelensky's permission)

You've wrote so many old clichés and slogans in your response that I'm not even going to waste my time on further discussion. Cheers.
dodo91@reddit
facts are not cliches but you can choose to ignore it
Reddit_BroZar@reddit
Well bud, facts are that if it wasn't for our interference, Ukraine would still be completely intact, there would be no civil war, no war with the Russians and millions would still be alive. Our politics effectively reduced Ukrainian population by 50%, destroyed its economic independence, infrastructure and led to the loss of territories. And all we have as a result l is a brand new group of Ukrainian oligarchs who made their fortune during the wartime. So yes, take your slogans and go kick rocks with all the nonsense about how Ze allowed the May 9th parade in Moscow.
dodo91@reddit
The Ukranian people were on their way to "seperate" from Russia for a long time They never wanted to be a part of Russia to begin with. Not during the Soviet period. Not during the Russian imperial period.
The struggle of Ukranians for independence against Russians predate the formation of the United States of America. When USA was just mere colonies, Ukranian cosssacks were rebelling against the Muscovite state.
It has nothing to do with "our intervention" causing shit to go down. All of Russia's ex-sphere is a conquered people hating on Russians and looking for independence.

Local nationalism capitalizing on geopolitical tensions is nothing new in national and international politics. The key narrative is to reject everything good that was done and exaggerate the harm. It's a known playbook which various geopolitical players have been using to their advantage for ages now. Old history aside, Moscow allowed independence of all the republics and Ukraine did get its political independence in the 90s. Next it had a choice for neutral and mutually beneficial coexistence with Russia. Yet it allowed an unprecedented amount of foreign interference which broke the balance in the region. Ultranationalism in a country with a large ethnic Russian population and right next to Russia was a sure way to civil war and unfortunately to a much larger conflict. Everyone with a brain knew this right from the start. We capitalized on Ukrainian ultranationalism and greed of its oligarchs to destabilize the region. I described the results in my post above. Cause and effect. Ukraine is paying high price for greed, hate and pure stupidity. It is that simple.
dodo91@reddit
“Local nationalism”
So its local nationalism when people want self determination but russia wants regional conquests and empire it is their natural right?
You simply think the peoples of these region have no agency and its all foreign interference. You have no idea how people around here work…
Reddit_BroZar@reddit
Ukraine had all self determination prior to 2014. Even Orange Revolution didn't trigger the Russians. Self governance is not just a right but also a responsibility. Responsibility to the nation and to its neighbors. Forgetting this simple principle has dire consequences in geopolitics. Cause and effect.

Russia Today might not be the most unbiased source for this kind of info
Eternal_Being@reddit
It's insane to see people taking a Tucker Carlson interview on Russia Today at face value.
Reddit_BroZar@reddit
So you don't really care about the info, you just care about Tucker and then it's all the rage and denial is kicking in. Gotcha.
Maarten1115@reddit
there are hundreds of videos of people being dragged into vans like that. In Ukraine , man between 25 - 65 are not allowed to leave the country , and you can get mobilised like this straight from the street to trainingcamp to the frontlines. nowadays 90% of new recuits are mobilised. which says alot because in 2022 there where 200k volunteers that joined the army , so all these mobilised recruits could have voluntered in 2022 aswell but they didnt
ArethusaUnderhill@reddit
This is not originally posted on Russia today. It is a clip from a 1 1/2 hour interview Tucker did on his channel. Looks like RT reposted it.
the_valley_spirit@reddit
Thanks my bad x
Reddit_BroZar@reddit
But she is. She's an insider. It doesn't really matter who publishes this. It's the source that matters. Or you're expecting similar revelations from Zelenski himself?
the_valley_spirit@reddit
Ok thanks! Sorry i didnt have time to dig into this was just a surface level speculation which I shouldn't have made x
ArchitectMary@reddit (OP)
I look forward to your comment, socks.
redd4972@reddit
Hi, sock here, Wikipedia tells me that she hasn't been Zelensky's spokeperson since before Russia invaded Ukraine. Also she dodged Tucker's question about "do you know anyone who has been sent to the front lines in retaliation,"
Meaning this whole exercise is an exercise in conjecture. Not to say that her conjecture is wrong. Merely that the former Zelensky spokesperson is not speaking with any direct knowledge of Zelensky's actions.
Reddit_BroZar@reddit
Her not being in office doesn't mean much in terms of her knowledge of the situation. Once in, she is still an insider. She still knows everyone involved and they all talk to each other. It's a tight social group of people in and around political power. That's how things work over there. Your assumptions are simply wrong.
zworkaccount@reddit
It's either disingenuous or naive to think that because an official leaves a government that they are immediately cut off from all inside info. Your comment is conjecture. You have no basis for your assertion as to what the basis of her claims are. You didn't even watch the interview.
redd4972@reddit
Yes, as is 99.9999 percent of all things posted on social media about current events.

It's great that you're a defender of free speech. Keep it up, defending the atrocities and genocides perpetrated by the United States and its lackeys. 👏

I don't defend any atrocities or genocides, troll

Tucker was already disqualifying, let alone this
digitalgimp@reddit
This is like an episode of Hogan’s Heroes where they would either shoot you or ship you to the eastern front if you were German and got out of line.

Kline was always worried about that!
