How the hell did we go from "Beautiful sleek German-inspired sports sedan" to "Angle SUV no. 45847987"? I hate it and hope costs never drop cause this should not see production
Am I the only one that finds the stinger ugly, it's not horrific but beautiful & sleek are not the first two words that come to mind, it just looks like a kia. The 3-series looks so much nicer
Back in like 2015 I would have agreed with you. But my God has BMW gone off the deep end and the Stinger has really aged quite well, especially the GT trim after the refresh. I'd say the Stinger looks worlds better than any BMW being built today.
The neue klasse 3-series looks quite nice, I'd say better than the stinger, & they've only showed it off w/ EV sedan proportions which is practically worst case scenario

Yeah, the F30 was the last great looking 3 series. The G20 isn't awful but it was a step backwards. And thats not even getting into the pig about on the modern M cars...
I think it absolutely stands out in the Kia range has one of their best looking cars ever because it looks like they actually gave a shit, at least to me. Now would I put it above an F30 3-series? No, I don't think so, but it does look quite cool in a way no other Kia really has

Swap a mid-engined coupe design (like the M1) onto the NSX & it would look like a different mid-engined coupe
They gave the stinger a different body & it looks great its called a g70

Got home and googled it.. Kia stinger huh... Interesting. Never would have guessed.
I feel like it definitely stands out compared to other Kia models.

It looks almost exactly like an Audi R7. Do Audi's also look like Kia's? Do a side-by-side of the two cars.
I've had Corvettes, BMW's and Mustangs, I've hadmore people comment on my Stinger than anything else I've ever owned.
The front of an a7 looks like an audi & the front of a stinger looks like a forte, how in the world do those cars look the same? They're both fastback w/ a rear lightbar, about where the similarities end

Obviously one has the generic Audi grille and generic Audi everything else, and one has the Kia Forte
But for $100k more, I can't choose the Audi just on looks, it's not $100k nicer
I don't see how its a discount a7 in any way except being a fastback & having a red strip across the rear

I find it derivative of other more beautiful cars. It looked a lot like a GTA version of a Jaguar XKR and an Audi S7. When I had my XKRs, I even had Stinger owners mistake my car for them a couple of times.
So, I think it follows good general design principals, but it looks compiled together from better original sources.
Same. I have a Stinger. It's easily my favorite daily I've ever owned. I was hoping the oft-rumored EV8 would see the light of day as the Stinger's electric successor. If this is it, I'm out and will look for a performance EV that has more traditional Euro sedan styling.

These two lines seem rather contradictory
the Stinger was genuinely one of the most underrated sport sedans out there -- it just never got the credit it deserved. if the successor keeps that RWD bias and real sport tuning instead of just styling it up, this could be something. waiting on cost is smart. better to do it right than rush it out half-baked.
I mean it's Kia. They never deliver concept cars to production in identical form. Have you seen Kia GT Concept and GT4 Stinger Concept from 2011 and 2014? Those were some friggin ugly ducklings.
man i loved the Stinger GT, that thing was such a sleeper. shame the successor is just another EV crossover angle thing. just give us a fast sedan with a real engine kia
How is this a successor to the stinger? They have nothing in common. That’s the same nonsense like the Mustang MachE and the Mitsubishi Eclipse … just slap a sportscar name on a random ugly 3 ton SUV.
I think they should shelve this and instead focus their efforts on producing a sub-$30,000 soft top 2 seater convertible which they can call the Kiata.

The Cybertruck has over 10k sitting in storage lots, and they only sold 3,519 in 1Q2026. So at least a 9-month supply, and that's with dumping some to SpaceX.

Can’t wait for the polygonization of cars to be over. Feels like we’re entering another 80s in car design failures. Just going to be the decade of ugly polygon cars with screens every where and weird ass power trains.
Fun fact: You can buy this today, with better build quality, and without the angles and aztek c-to-d pillar area with the low low cost of no rear window.
Golly it is amazing how much better the Polestar 4 looks.

I don't think that cabrio will ever reach production. Polestar quietly returned the $12.5 million in pre-orders after they prioritized the P7 first. It's now delayed indefinitely. Between when they showed it and now, market desire for $200K+ EVs has declined sharply. And Polestar as a brand is having trouble convincing people the cars are worth $80K, let alone 2.5 times that. It is jaw droppingly cheap used.
We bought a Like-new 2021 Polestar 2 Launch Edition with the Performance package with 23,000 miles and brand new tires for $21,000 in the Northeast US. Someone spent pretty much $50K for 23,000 miles so we can have Brembos and Ohlins for less than a same year and mileage Camry.
That is the Polestar 6, O2 was the concept car. AFAIK, the 6 is delayed to after the 7. It may never happen or may look very different.
Personally, I think I might be the only person who doesn't jive with the 6. It looks like a Nissan Z for 911 money. I would rather them try another shot at the Polestar 1.
What did they do to my boy. I loved that car and regret trading it in for an m240i.
I also loved the m240i but the improvement over the Stinger wasn’t enough to justify upgrading it especially for a daily.
