1994 F250 7.5L first drive

Bought this a year and a half ago for $1K with a blown engine and just sitting on cinder blocks. It had been rolled too.
I work from home in an unrelated field and wanted to learn how to do mechanic/car work and thought this would be a fun project.
Swapped the bed, doors, fenders, rebuilt the 460, redid the whole interior, new brakes, new exhaust, scraped a lot of rust, and bedlined the whole exterior. And a thousand other things.
Took her for her first drive today. Some more hiccups but she ran good!
Has about 8” of lift and 37” tires.

that's a good way to learn. I got a 78 F-100 with a 351M that needed a full rebuild -- did it in my garage over about a year and a half, working evenings and weekends. the 7.5 is a solid motor, same basic platform. you'll figure out what's broke as you go, and youtube has gotten way better for this stuff than it was even five years ago. don't be afraid to mess something up -- that's how you learn what the torque spec actually means when it matters.

Oh yeah, this was a 2 steps forward, 1 step forward restoration for sure.

You should drop some of the body lift if you can reasonably do so without the front wheels rubbing the wheel well when you turn.

No body lift here, only suspension

I do love a good 460
