After I bought one of these off their site I saw that their post was deleted and a little while later I received an email saying Matt was banned? What gives?

I reported one of his old posts for breaking rule 5. For his next post he fixed his title so it didn't violate rule 5, but he also complained in the post text that the he didn't know why the mods removed his previous one. But if he never received mod feedback, how did he know what to change?

Nah, he's just an idiot. OSight is owned by Olight, a Chinese flashlight company. All companies after a certain size or dollar amount need to have registered members of the CCP proportional to their board size so they're primed for Nationalization and can be spied on at a high level. Don't comply like Jackie Ma (aka the Alibaba guy) and you're basically an enemy of the state. So if you're going to crash out about the "Evil CCP", don't sell OSight either.

He should use this an opportunity to grow up. Maybe if he can do that, he can have posting privileges again. Vendors have been banned in the past for harassing the GunDeals mods. Honestly, I can't blame the mods. While I agree what Holosun did wasn't fair, he was spamming comment sections on other dealer's Holosun deals for a week straight saying that he had huge deals coming. Only for the deals to be equal or worse, then he did a 360 on the shit-talking the second Holosun reached out. His comments made me hold off on buying a 510C and 512C from another dealer, so I just blocked him afterwards. No clue if he got banned for that or if he stirred more things up after that.

Nothing. We only heard his side of the story saying holosun screwed him. But by his behavior it was prob his fault.
He would leave comments on other dealer's post about how Holosun was unfair to him, then escalated to calling Holosun a terrible CCP company, China evil etc etc, but went right back to selling them as soon as he could.

To be fair to Holosun, his initial posts his website featured no email for quote pricing on Holosun. He then deleted that post and reposted now following their policies. Prices still in line with other dealers but charging $20+ shipping, which then changed to free shipping with email price on most things.
You could definitely tell he was adapting to ecommerce and trying to get things figured out. But it was interesting seeing him vehemently defend himself saying he did nothing wrong when I (and I'm sure many of us) saw from his first post he was operating outside the norm of all other H-sun vendors here.
Hope he gets it all figured out. There are plenty of dealers here just trying to make their way through this world and at the end of the day we should all try to extend grace, so that others may return the same courtesy.

I'm not a mod but I've noticed a lot of posts for this particular vendor lately so I'm guessing he got banned for astroturfing in an attempt to avoid the "1 post every 5 days" rule.
In fact, I find it highly suspicious seeing yet another deal (from an account that doesn't appear to have had any prior interactions with gundeals) for this same vendor under the guise of wanting to know why your buddy Matt was banned. I must say, it was very gracious of him to reach out to you via email to let you know you won't be seeing him on gundeals anymore.
Personally, I'd be happy to never see another bickham firearms post on here again.

I can vouch for bickham, i bought a holosun 510c. His site was super super suspicious and the optic didnt ship after a week or so. He was a little over-communicative which cause further suspicion on my park. This prompted me to PM other buyers from the reddit thread. Turns out he's just new and kinda flying by the seat of his pants i guess. I was in contact with like 5 or 6 other buyers and we all got our purchases within a very decent time frame for the price. He seems like just a very nice guy running a small operation. I was wrong for being suspicious. I can provide screenshots of conversations if needs be. He does t deserve fo be banned.
