UK job hunting. What's the difference between a resume and a CV?

Hey gang, what's the difference between a resume and a CV when applying for jobs in the UK?
For context, I'm British but have lived and worked in the US for the last 15 years, but I'm moving home this month because my personal life exploded, and have to embark on job hunting. Before I emigrated all my jobs were through word of mouth and I never needed a CV so I'm a little adrift here. My resume is pretty up-to-date (I was job hunting at the start of the year here, I would just need to add the details of the job I just left) but I'm not sure how to translate that into a CV. I'm still in the US right now so everything I'm finding online is geared to the US use of a CV which is primarily in academia so if anyone could point me in the direction of some solid templates or good advice for the UK job market that would be very much appreciated!
Thank you millions!
