Antigua-Nassau with Tapio aboard Galiana. Best sailing trip of my life.

1200nm non-stop run. I thought I knew a few things about sailing but this trip opened my eyes to what it takes to plan and execute a long passage. The boat is a 1970 Swan 55.

So it has both a Solent rig and a cutter rig? What do you call that?
Lowcountry25@reddit
Solent-rigged cutter yawl (looks like)

Is it with Tapio Lehtinen?

I’m certain it is. He is such an inspiration. I enjoyed his books as much as I did with Bernard Motissier And Knox Johnstons books. Shame he won’t be at Les sables this year. He surely deserves a good run in GGR

I used to skipper Swam Valhalla a sister ship to her back in the late 80’s. Fantastically powerful yacht

Yeah I bet. I would love to have a long down wind down current run like that.
