Have you seen anyone skitching?

I live in California where skateboarding originated and I see dudes try the trick all the time. For people who don't know what it is, it's when you hold on to a moving car while you skateboard and try your best not to fall off. For example: https://youtu.be/Ezi-vEqOdR8?si=INHIBRzWsvLzO5rJ

We used to do this as kids in the 80s/ early 90s on skateboards or bikes but in a very non-dangerous way. Just 30 seconds or so to get up some speed and only on quiet roads.

So the thing from the start of Back to the Future?
Never seen this in real life.

Yeah, but that won't advertise a channel they like, might even be just low effort advertising.

Used to skitch my mate's moped to get enough speed for gaps and stuff.

Bro I've been thinking about skitching loads this week, I saw a video of some guy trying it pretty unsuccessfully. 10 year old me would be disappointed that 30s me still hasn't done it.

I've seen cyclists hang onto trucks. but not sure I've seen anyone on a skateboard do it. I think I have but they let go quick. Same with guys on rollerblades.

I remember this game on the mega drive (I think), maybe N64..
It was good for the time.
To answer the question no, I’ve never seen it happening in the real world.

I live in Birmingham and leave a note telling my family I love them whenever I have to drive on the roads in an actual car. I reckon anyone who has a go at hanging off the back of one on a skateboard is going to need to be identified from whatever DNA can be extracted from the pink paste they leave behind.

I've seen a few kids do it with bikes (as in holding onto a friend riding a bicycle) but only once saw someone try it with a car. They didn't expect the car to pull off when it did but it didn't go to plan. He wasn't injured, just looked like someone fell off his skateboard

good luck doing it on uk roads that are twisty and turnier and have more pot holes than stoners in the 70s.

Used to do it loads on rollerblades when I was a teenager 😄 never seen anyone do it in real life on a skateboard, probably the roads are too shit to risk it!

The only reason I know about skitching is because of the game, and I now have the urge to shout the word as loudly as possible. SKITCHIN’!!!

Yes, and participated in it. Never had the balls to do it to someones car I didn't know or going at any decent speed though. Did it once on skis at 2am when it was snowing too, it totally fucked the skis up.
