So hyped to try this car under real conditions.
Man, initial D is a son of a b…. :D
sheesh_doink@reddit
Damn this looks and sounds like it would drive like a beast!
Deferuser1@reddit
Nice car
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Thanks!

This engine
328i m52b28, 7200rpm deadline, around 200hp
engine original for car?
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Yeah, This is an Stock engine by itself and it comes in the e36, but my car was Originaly a 320i :) ori deadline is ah 6500rpm but the m52 can handle the 7-7200rpm :)
Natedoggsk8@reddit
What are you gonna use it for? Is it a street car?
mafatik@reddit
Very nice!
Can you please tell about seatbelts? My undestanding you gust added an axtender on the right side and put the standard belt through the seat hole? How you passed inspections, any issues with that?
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Thanks! I used a bmw seatbelt lock on a belt which i found in the old stuff that came with the car. This one i bolted on the L adapter of the Seat and the seatbelt itself is bolted on the Seat console. I wasn‘t at the inspection but will do it in the next week. But there schouldn‘t be a problem
mafatik@reddit
Thanks!

Sehr schöner e36! Kannst Du mir sagen was das für ein Boden ist in deiner Garage? Also diese „Puzzle“-Teile. Und bist du zufrieden damit? Suche sowas ähnliches für meine. Danke! :)
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Danke!
xj98jeep@reddit
Man Iove it, nice work. Looks fun as fuck. How's the maintenance on these?
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Thanks Bro! The Engines itself are reliable as hell when you Change the oil max all 10k km with good quality oil. But the other stuff is basically 30 years old so bushings, bearings, old parts and Rust can be a problem. In my case the Rust was not a big deal (restored whole underfloor too) and i thought that i will renew or make the Parts Even better so i will have my Peace the next years with the maintenance. But i need to Change some stuff on the engine too in the future. Can be really cost intensive but as i said, i‘ve Done a Lot on it
sl33ksnypr@reddit
I know people tend to hate on cold air intakes, but I would definitely recommend one on this motor. The M52s sound so good when you get into the high RPMs with an intake.
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Yeah had this idea too to print something but i think i will Go with a supercharger next winter :)
TvRemoteThief@reddit
Looks awesome. What do the CH weigh each?
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Thanks! Around 10kg so not that light but they look so nice on the car! But maybe i will Change them for a lighter set (around 8 per wheel) in the future
YousureWannaknow@reddit
Ok, don't lie to us. You don't really think you finished it 😉
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
For This Season, yes xD but im thinking what to do with my engine and Interieur in the upcomming winter
YousureWannaknow@reddit
See? I knew it. Projects never end. Which is lovely and sad at same time
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
I Like it that way, taste changes with the time and you Experience the car in a new way again at every Change :)
YousureWannaknow@reddit
Truth has been told. Nice build, hope they won't be bitching about TUV paperwork 😉
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
I Hope too :D
BWFTW@reddit
What kind of options for mods do you have in that engine? I'm not super familiar with the 328i motor.
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Thought about supercharging it, the stock engine can output easilly 400hp which is Crazy for a 5k biy Kit
BWFTW@reddit
Holy, that sounds properly awesome. Still keep the linear na character. Is it an iron or aluminum block?
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
It‘s an aluminum block but they can handle a good amount of Low boost power, so the supercharger with the na character is the best Option. Have Seen examples with 470hp on stock m52b28 that still run
BWFTW@reddit
That's so freaking cool. Excited to see your updates!
Nickelnuts@reddit
Exactly
Oberst_Reziik@reddit
Germany?? Cries in Portugal. Absolutely no way to make any legal modifications.
The only thing you can do is put stuff that came in the same chassis and hope inspection does not notice.
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Damn that Sounds Bad, thats really fucked up. Can‘t you Even register the parts in the documents like here in germany?
Oberst_Reziik@reddit
Tyres it's easy.
Anyway else requires an engineering project and manafacturer approval.
In theory you can, in practice you only can use parts from other models in the same chassis because maybe the inspector thinks it's was factory installed. (Ex: brakes from an AMG on a C300)
YesMcLuvin@reddit
i miss those inline 6s
Melodic-Ad1415@reddit
Nice car, what’s up with that ceiling tho?!?!
MontyRapid@reddit
Is this a project car or project ceiling sub?
Sick ride by the way.
Melodic-Ad1415@reddit
If the ceiling falls on the project car, is it still as project car sub?
name4231@reddit
Looks its a cheap stucco finish
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Thanks, the garage is inside a, i don’t know, 100 year old building and not everything is perfect inside xD
burgonies@reddit
“Finished”
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
For now…
Sangricarn@reddit
If I ever started a project car, it would be an e36. Love this.
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Just do it man, i bought this car spontaneous few years ago and this was the best decission besides getting a doggo :)
bohica_cu@reddit
Wow, a finished project car. Good job. You have inspired me to get back to work
I’m in the middle of renovations on my 95 suburban.
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Bro just Take shias video „JUST DO IT“ as a Inspiration, that works :D
SumScrewz@reddit
Only thing i think it needs is the risers on the wing.
But its sick!
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Thanks but You’re wrong, the rised gt wing looks only on coupes good, the standard like min fits the Sedan 100 times better!
Wettnoodle77@reddit
She's a beaut Clark!
Long-Adhesiveness839@reddit
A project car is never “Finalized”
BWFTW@reddit
Absolute sick build!!
Very jealous of the recaro seat, wish they were available to buy 😭. Anyone know when recaro is supposed to come back to north America haha
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Thanks Buddy i will do it :) here you need to wait for a few months when you Order them. I bought Mine used but good condition (was in a 944 tracktool)
quattro725121@reddit
Awesome car and I love the wheel choice. 😛
rudbri93@reddit
Looks like a fun build. Ive had a lot of fun with some m52s
Ok-Credit987@reddit (OP)
Yeah im really hyped to race it :)
