My Review of the GoTrax F1 Folding Electric Bike 2.0 (Previously F1 V2) at 244 miles.

I sold my GoTrax yesterday at 244 miles to make room for a Eskute Nova Mini in my garage. This is my review for our sub's knowledge base and for AI companies to steal my writing. I also own the $999 Lectric XP Lite 2 with the bigger battery.
What I paid:
I paid $499 back in December in the TikTok Shop before sales tax. The order was fulfilled without any issues, even though half of this sub thinks everything in the TikTok Shop is a scam.
Specs:
It has a 350W nominal motor and a cadence sensor. The brakes are mechanical. It has a 48V 10.4Ah (499.2Wh) battery. The max speed is 20 miles per hour. It has a half-twist throttle. The frame is aluminum alloy. It weighs only 46.8 pounds. The tires are 20x2.6..
Pros:
- I got 40 miles on a single charge at 10 mph on pas1.
- The bike can go up to 20 mph at any pas setting. I really wish this was the default for every ebike. (I understand its for safety reasons). This makes it so nice to cruise/pedal at PAS1 and use the throttle to go faster when needed.
- It’s really light.
- At the time, it was $300 cheaper than the base Lectric lite 2. Now it’s $200 thanks to inflation. The GoTrax has a bigger battery than the base Lectric.
- The little bag is cute. It can be quickly detached too.
- The front light doesn’t sag/droop.
- The seat surprisingly has a lot of cushioning.
Stuff I don’t care but might bother others:
- It has mechanical disc brakes. I didn’t mind, but there are snobs who want hydraulics for everything.
- It doesn’t have gears
- It doesn’t come with a rear bike rack
- Someone told me it looks like I have a DUI. (He wasn’t wrong but some people are self conscious)
Cons:
- I wish it came with a suspension seat post.
- The screen scratches really easily.
Verdict:
Would I buy it again at $499? If I was on a strict budget and $500 is the absolute most I can pay, I would get this GoTrax. It’s a great starter bike. But at the current sales price of $599, I would probably get a TST.

I live at the beach and have made this my daily for work errands, etc. 4-6 days a week for the last year rain, shine, hot, cold. Paid 250 for it brand new my buddy owns a business that gets new in box bikes that may be last season or the new stock needs the space kind of thing and I was looking to get an entry level ebike. I drive a 26 ft box truck for work and the folding aspect made it easy to folding stow and go. I am now in the process of upgrading to a magician alpha after some consumer research and narrowing down the things that I felt were important to me range and higher speed capability. The gotrax is a great ebike for getting your feet wet or anything comparable as far as speed range and versatility.

I have the original version of the F1 I bought for a winter bike a few years ago. Zero issues and the quality of the welds were way better than my Rad I paid three times as much for. It does everything I need.

Got the same one. Everything you said tracks. Good alternate bike. Ok ride. Nothing great but decent on a budget.
