Do Americans regard certain words as particularly elegant and upscale?

You must mean these words sound elegant to YOU (but maybe not to a native speaker who associates the sound with a thing before thinking about the sound itself lol). I have weird fascination with other languages, like words that I think sound super cool. Boîte in French (box) I always thought sounded super cool. Abacaxi in Portuguese (pineapple) is super cool, as is “a faca” (the knife) for more obvious reasons 😆). I find a lot of German words to be this way on principle lol. I actually find the German compounded words (so like most German words) to be fun to break down and understand- like glove is “hand shoe” Handschuh. There are a few earworm words I also find cool in Japanese but I can’t remember off the top of my head- mata ne (see ya!) is one I enjoy for some reason. Is this what you mean? Because this is a question I love to ask non native speakers of English- what English words sound super cool or weird or whatever to you? And on a related note, many non native speakers have difficulty (in a fun way) pronouncing the word squirrel 🐿️🌰 😉😁
