B550 plus (5700x) won't POST with dual channel on a specific set of RAM at 3200.

I've been putting together a config of older components I've got lying around. This config (B550 plus with 5700x) first had some issues with power stability that came up with memtest5. Those went away after after updating and resetting the bios.
Now, however, after restarting the PC earlier today, it refused to POST with both sticks (g skill at 3600). On their own, each stick works in either slot. I also tested the PC itself with a different set of sticks at both 3200 and 3600 and it works fine in dual channel.
One thing to note is that the first set (the g skill) of sticks has an XMP ready sticker for Intel. Could this be an issue?

My gskill rams 2x16gb 3200 work just fine with 5700x at the designed 3200 speed, tested the hell out of it yesterday. But my mobo is very retro, x370.

Maybe yours 5700x memory controller is bad, if you can try out with different ram. Intel xmp only sticker is nothing

I ended up testing the 2x16 G-Skill on a different PC and it exhibits the same issue.

Time to RMA the pair. I recently had to do two RMAs with a GSkill RAM pair and no issues with their service.
