If this post breaks the rules, please let me know and I will delete it, I just don't know if this fits the rules or not. I'm not trying to gray area the rules, i just don't fully understand. and again im not looking for a new prebuilt, i just dont know if i should upgrade my current build, or sell this and make my own.
Currently im looking into upgrading my pc, but I don't know if its better to sell my prebuilt and completely build one from scratch because of how parts fit, or if I should just continue to upgrade this one. I currently have anAlienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R14, and the current upgrades i have in it, i replaced the storage with WD_BLACK SN850X HS 2000GB W/O Heatsink, and i upgraded my ram but i don't know what type i have so heres the info that was in task manager.
Im gonna be using this pc for VR gaming mostly, other than the occasional gmod, barony, or subnautica. the main reason im asking is because I don't know if this current build can fit new upgrades or if i need a new case/motherboard. my budget would be $2500 including whatever I would get for the prebuilt. I would not need any peripherals as i have a pcvr headset, keyboard mouse two monitors speakers headphones, etc. and country of purchas is the United States.

Are you located near a microcenter by chance?
$2500 would get you a really good new computer, I'd probably build new with that budget, and sell the old rig.

Closest one is about 100 miles away, 4744 South Blvd B, Charlotte, NC 28217 is the micro center, if it’s worth a road trip price and quality wise I’d love to go down there. Tanks!

Are you going to pull the 2tb drive out of your old computer and put it in the new one? and just leave the old drive in the old PC?
Whatt're you looking for as far as aesthetics go?

I was thinking the north fractal, do any of the sizes fit what you’re suggesting? https://www.fractal-design.com/products/cases/north/ . Also if you recommend a similar case that’s better I’m also willing to change. I will also most likely bring the storage yes, unless you recommend otherwise for my uses.

I'd definitely bring your storage, that 2tb SSD id worth $350... And I bet you paid a fraction of that if you upgraded before 2026
Definitely use the fractal north, it's a great case. Just note, the Fractal North won't fit a 360mm cooler on the top, only the Fractal North XL fits one on top. It's not a whole lot bigger for being called "XL" it's like an inch in each dimension or something small, it is not a huge case.
My buddy has the black fractal north XL, honestly looks better in person than in pictures. He has the black and gold
Here it is with the North XL: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/njLmkD

I think I’m gonna go for the 5080, I looked a little bit into the performance of both and overclocking scares me, plus I don’t like upgrading more than once per 2 years, and that’ll give me an extra boost. I thank you for all your help my friend! I will see you another day when I get around to building said pc!

Heck ya! That'll be a really great PC. No shot you need to upgrade in 2 years either!
