brand new pc
asrock a520m-hdv
amd 9060
amd 7 5700x
The headset wont connect at all, device manager doesnt see it, the realtek driver is not there either. Ive tried to reinstall the driver by EXE, through device manager and add legacy hardware
the legacy hardware way makes it bsod and restart with error code 7e
the others just asks me to restart, which i do. then after it turns on again nothing has changed. The headset works on my pc.
The only way to get audio is if i connect the headset cable to the monitor, but then the mic doesnt work and theres no stereo. Ive dried DDU to delete the audio drivers, which didnt work either. I cant delete the regular audio drivers because theres none to delete and i cant seem to get it to install them.
the ports on the motherboard at the back doesnt do anything.
in the Change System Sounds menu there is just the virtual output which is the monitor, which doesnt work on its own with the monitor speakers. no inputs either
there is no realtek high definition audio in device manager to delete or update, just virtual inputs
pleas help

For starters, did you download and install the chipset drivers from the asrock website?
Ordinary-Rip4240@reddit (OP)
yes, changed nothing

So, in device manager you don't have any audio devices under "sound, video and game controllers"?
Ordinary-Rip4240@reddit (OP)
the monitor is automatically selected, i only get audio through it if i plug the headset into the back of the monitor, there is only Amd high definition audio and Amd streaming whatever audio, there is no other inputs or outputs, and none of the audio connectors on the case works
AstarothSquirrel@reddit
In device manager, what have you got listed in "sound, video and game controllers"?
Ordinary-Rip4240@reddit (OP)
AMD High Definition Audio AMD Streaming audio something i cant remember
theres just 2 both amd

You might need to uninstall the amd drivers, then install the realtek drivers and then reinstall the amd drivers. It looks like you installed the adrenalin drivers before you installed the chipset drivers and you are now getting a conflict.

so DDU again then the realtek drivers then amd drivers?
is the realtek drivers from the asrock site or realtek? i tried both last time neither worked. ill try this then report back tommorow

hey, i have the same issue, did u find a solution?

If DDU is your weapon of choice. I've only ever needed the add/remove programs feature in windows but then I'm lazy and always go for the easiest method.
Always get your chipset drivers from the motherboard manufacturer. The realtek drivers should be fine but the mb manufacturer may have bespoke drivers that they've sourdoughs tested against their mb.
